Lost

“What? Where?”

Jane grabs the horse that was eating the grass and pat it. Her eyes got rounded and turn to Abelard. Slowly, she takes a short breath.

“You said earlier you would accompany me around.”

“Ooohh… So that, huh? I didn’t know your mood would change so fast”

“So…, how much longer are you going to keep this young girl waiting?”

“Alright… Alright… I’m coming.”

Abelard gets on his horse first, and then he stretches out his hand to help Jane. But Jane goes up on her own and ignores Abelard.

“Don’t be too fast! This journey will surely be missed in vain.”

Abelard nods in understanding. The horse started walking from the river bank towards the city center earlier. A cool wind blows on the outskirts, birds chirp and fly, tall green trees that really color the atmosphere of their trip.

“By the way, your fighting skills were not so bad.”

A rather confusing sentence entered Abelard’s ears. He had just made up with the girl behind him.

“Thanks.”

It's not perhaps the best, But perhaps more meaningfull.
