Chapter 87

Impulsively, I start to move back at the sight of the man that had ordered Garrett to stop what he intended doing. Even before my eyes caught the sight of the man, I had begun to tremble in fear of being seen by someone else from the pack when I should have been lowkey all through. Damn the bastards that attacked.

Garrett already has his head turned around to stare at the approaching man and that was why he could not tell that I have started to walk away from the scene. Apparently, it would be useless if I would try to outrun either Garrett or the approaching man in this situation, knowing how well they could catch up with me in the blink of an eye.

It wasn’t until our eyes collide, and I’m talking about the man, did I stop. It was momentarily, though, as I was right back on the backward steps in no time.

“Where are you going?” Garrett was looking right at me as he finally realized what I was doing.
