It’s not like Garrett and I knew nothing about it, but the beta’s claim affirms the theory totally. We were made targets for the books, but who would mastermind such a thing?

“Do you know why they came for them?” Garrett threw a question at the beta who looks from side to side for a while.

“For obvious reasons,” the beta says. “They were here to possibly destroy any evidence that links to why the whole conspiracy began. Hired, actually. Come, let me show you two something,”
