At the Club

"Baby, I can't wait to have you tonight!" He shouted on top of his voice as she rocked him hard on the dance floor.

"Oh, boy, I've missed you so much," she cried as they continued dancing excitedly.

A mischievous smile curved on his lips as he thought about the strange girl hovering all over him. Maybe he could just jilt her at the club and take Shelly over to a hotel to spend the night.

This could be his moment of escape, he thought as his eyes looked around the dance floor which was now filled with people dancing excitedly to music.

The smile on his face disappeared as his eyes fell at one side of the dance floor where he saw her dancing with a man who was holding her erotically. She seems to be wasted on alcohol as he saw her dancing crazily with the man who was pressing her against himself.

He gulped and his eyes never left her sight for a moment. He felt a rising anger within him and he couldn't believe she had left to dance with some other guy. How did he even notice her when she was dressed just like a boy? Is she that beautiful to be noticed by everyone? He thought with his eyes feasting on them.

"Babe, I'm not feeling you!" He heard Shelly's voice as she pressed her body against him.

He didn't respond and he twisted his lips angrily while watching the two enjoying themselves on the dance floor.

Just then, he saw the young man leading her out of the dance floor while she tried to resist. He swallowed hard and pushed Shelly away from his body slowly.

"What are you doing?" She asked in surprise.

He didn't reply and she watched with her mouth agape as he stormed out immediately.

He made his way through the crowd as he hastened his steps to where he had seen them earlier.

"Leave me alone, I don't wanna go with you!" She cried while hitting the man who was trying to pull her away.

Walking past the crowd, he saw her struggling with the man who was still trying to get hold of her. He straightened his neck and walked towards them immediately.

"Let her be," he ordered sternly.

On hearing his voice, she ran away from the man and ran into his embrace.

"And who are you?" The young man asked confidently as he turned towards him.

"I'm her man," he replied with his mean eyes staring at him, ready for a fight.

"Really? I met her without a man; you can't claim what's not yours!" He fired.

He looked at her face and he could see the fear written all over her as she clung on him tightly.

"Mr Man, get me that girl!" The young man fired again while walking closer to him.

He scoffed and shook his head in disbelief as he saw the average- heightened man standing in front of him undauntedly. He landed a swift punch on his face which got him staggering backwards.

"Ouch!" He heard voices from the people who were already watching them.

She shrieked as she saw him punch the man's face and she looked at him in utter dismay.

"You punched me?!" The man barked while rushing towards him.

In an instant, he grabbed him by the waist, lifted him to the air and landed him with his back on the floor.

"Oh no!" She screamed and grabbed his hands immediately while he tried to attack the young man who was still lying on the floor.

"It's enough!" She cried.

He began to breathe heavily as he turned to look at her.

"Let's get out of here," he said angrily and dragged her out of the club with murmurs and whispers from people trailing behind them.

"What did you do that for? You should've let him be!" She cried as they stepped into the car.

Without a word, he ignited the car and drove out of the yard speedily. He heard her ranting as they drove home that night and he knew she was still drunk. He didn't know what came over him and he couldn't believe he was fighting because of a lady; a lady he was trying so hard to get rid of.

How did it happen? Why was he concerned about her safety? Why was he jealous seeing her dancing with some other guy? He asked himself while driving slowly along the road.

She stayed calm for a moment while looking at the side of his way. She knew he was probably still angry and she didn't know why. She was shocked to see his reactions towards the man earlier and she knew he was probably trying to protect her.

But how could he protect someone he was trying so hard to get rid of? She thought.

She heaved a sigh and looked away from him slowly.

The ride home continued in silence and as they drove into the yard, he walked into the house while she trailed behind him.

"Hey, I need you to explain what you did back there at the club!" She said, walking to his front as he tried to walk up the stairs.

"I don't have time for your shits! I want to sleep," he said, walking past her over the stairs.

She hurried behind him and they both walked into the bedroom.

"Aren't you gonna say something?!" She yelled, walking towards him.

"What do you want me to say, uh? That you were flirting with a stranger who tried to hurt you? Will you ever learn?! You think life is a joke? Because I was nice to accommodate your silly self, you think every stranger out there is the same?!" He spat angrily with his eyes looking into her face.

She licked her lips and swallowed hard.

"I was alone, what else do you want me to do? Sit my ass up waiting for you to be done with your whore?!" She fired back.

"You asked for it anyways," he said and let out an exhale.

"I asked to go out with you not to watch you kiss your whore in front of me," she cried with a pity face.

He scoffed and pulled a surprised face as he saw the emotions written all over her face.

"Oh, I get it now. You were jealous?" He asked but she didn't reply.

She placed her arms akimbo and turned away from him.

"Spill it in my face, you were jealous! Damn, don't tell me you're falling for me already!" He said, raising his hands in disbelief.

"And why would I be jealous of you and your whore? Is she prettier than me? You aren't even anywhere near the guy I was dancing with, damn! He was cute," she emphasized and he rolled his eyes in disgust.

"See, you were jealous that I was dancing with a man. You're the one falling," she said with a giggle as she walked slowly closer to him and they both stood a meter apart from each other.

"You know it's laughable to believe I will fall for you," he said with a smirk.

"Really?" She asked as she placed her arms around his neck.

She brought her head closer to his and she could feel the heat from his body as their bodies touched.

"What are you up to this time around?" He asked in slow whispers.

She placed her finger on his lips and he went mute with his heart racing fast. He placed his arms around her back and squeezed it softly.

He quickly tried to plant a kiss on her lips which were almost touching his lips but she pulled away and began to laugh.

"I got you!" She cried in excitement as she danced in front of him.

"Not this time around," he said as he grabbed her forcefully and she landed on his chest.

"What are you doing?" She asked in surprise as she felt his hot breath fanning her lips.

Before she could speak further, he plunged his lips into hers and she shut her eyes in pleasure as he kissed her passionately with his strong hands caressing her body from behind.

He led her to the bed and they both fell with their bodies on the bed while he kept on kissing her tenderly.

She couldn't get enough of him and she pulled away from him slowly. She looked into his eyes which were filled with passion and she tried to catch her breath.

"I want more of you," she said in slow whispers.

He planted a slow kiss on her neck and looked at her face again.

"You want it?" He whispered into her face.

"Yes," she whispered back and he plunged his lips into hers again while she unbuttoned his dress hastily.

**

The vibrating of his phone jolted him from sleep and he opened his eyes slowly while yawning tiredly. He felt an acrid pain on his head which made him wince slowly.

He took a quick look at the other side of the bed where he could see her lying peacefully with the duvet shielding her body partially. Her pure white skin was exposed with her back facing him and her dark hair dangling over her back and shoulders.

He held his breath for a moment as he recalled the steamy moment they shared last night. It all started slowly and then it got all steamy.

How could he? He thought as he sighed in frustration and looked away from her slowly. How could he have unprotected sex with a lady he was trying so hard to get rid of? He reasoned as he moved slowly to the edge of the bed.

"I've messed up, I've messed up big time," he cried as he stood up from the bed.

He turned off the alarm of his phone and moved into the bathroom angrily.

He got lost in thought while taking his shower. He didn't know how he had gotten carried away to the extent of having sex with her. Her attitude earlier had made him determined not to touch her till she leaves his home, yes, he had been so determined to abstain from her. He knows what she is looking for, someone to hookup her miserable life with, he thought as the water splashed against his face mercilessly.

She has to leave, he said to himself as he turned off the shower.

Stepping out of the bathroom, he saw her still sleeping peacefully on the bed and he heaved a sigh of frustration. Did she actually think he would want to get hooked up by a lady? No, that's never going to happen, he thought as he walked over to the wardrobe.

She opened her eyes slowly as she heard noises in the room. She yawned and stretched tiredly with her eyes on the mirror where she could see him, dressed handsomely in a blue suit and tie.

A wry smile appeared on her lips as she recalled their moments of last night. She didn't know how she had let him take advantage of her body but no doubt, she enjoyed all of it. He was damn good in bed and truth be told, he was better than Kelvin.

She saw him looking in her direction and their eyes met.

"Getting ready for work?" She asked.

He took a deep breath as he adjusted the sleeves of his suit while thinking of the words to say to her.

"Yes, and you should be getting ready to leave soon," he said without looking at her face.

She swallowed hard as the words hit her deep and she tried to maintain her composure. She saw him walking to the bed and her eyes trailed after him.

He stood in front of the bed gallantly with no smile on his handsome face.

"I can't spend another day with your presence around my house. You should get ready to leave," he said, coldly.

She didn't respond and she looked away from him slowly.

"Look, I'm sorry about last night, okay? It wasn't preplanned and It never crossed my heart to take advantage of you. What happened last night was a mistake and it should remain so. If there is anything you'll need to go home, you can let me know," he said.

"It's fine," she managed to say as she concealed the sadness in her voice.

He let out an exhale and made a nod.

"I'll be in the dining room, having breakfast," he said and walked out immediately.

She heaved a sigh as he walked out of the room. He was right, she needed to leave, she thought.

"What was I even planning to do? Spend the rest of my life with him?" She said and hissed.

"It's time to go home," she said as she stood up slowly and walked into the bathroom.

As he sat on the dining table having his breakfast, he thought about her and he smiled wryly as he recalled the expression on her face when he had told her to leave. The whole thing was beginning to get serious and she needed to leave before it got deeper.

He thought about the sex they had and he couldn't recall the last time he had such a wonderful time with a lady. But the truth is that he wasn't ready for a relationship and he knew she wasn't ready either. He doesn't even know who she is, he thought and made a chuckle.

As he sipped his tea, he looked up at the stairs severally, waiting for her to step out.

"I know she'll be adamant, and she still isn't ready to leave," he said with a sigh.

What If she doesn't leave? He thought again.

Just then, he heard footsteps from the stairs and he saw her, dressed in her black dress and heels with her hair styled beautifully as she strolled down the stairs slowly.

His heart skipped and as their eyes met, he looked away Immediately and pretended to be concentrating on his meal. She walked to the dining table and stood in front of him.

"I'm leaving," she said, calmly.

He swallowed hard as the words hit him deep. So soon? He thought as he wiped his mouth with a napkin.

"Um..um..," he stammered, looking at her expressionless face.

"Would you mind breakfast?" He offered.

She shook her head slowly while counting her fingers with her gaze on the floor.

He couldn't bear looking at her sad face and he felt a sense of guilt shadowing him.

"Bye," she said and walked away.

He opened his mouth to speak but the words wouldn't come out. He couldn't believe she was leaving so soon. He felt the urge to go after her but he exercised self control and remained glued to his seat.

His eyes hovered around the room, not knowing what to say or do at the moment. He heaved a sigh and scratched the back of his head. He heard the door slam and he knew she was gone. Gone, never to be seen again, he thought.

He was supposed to be happy but he was not and he didn't know why.

"It's gonna be fine," he convinced himself.

"Now that she's gone, everything will return to normal," he said as he adjusted his tie.
