Chapter 3 She left for school

And just when I thought my mum was going to at least lie to my face and chose us, she still proved me wrong, she suddenly stood up and began walking to the door,

“Where are you going mum, you haven't even answered my question?”

“Go to sleep Great you're going back to school tomorrow” She said without turning back, 

“Mum you couldn't even lie to my face and say that you love me, you still proved me wrong of how selfish you and dad are!” I yelled in distressed 

“Go to sleep Great!” She opened the door and slammed it hard as she left, anger surged through me, what else was I expecting from her when she's going to forever be her husband's puppet, I angrily climbed the bed ready to sleep but then I heard the creaking sound of my door, 

“Mum?” I called thinking it's her, but when I saw it's my brother I was surprised 

“Great, what are you doing here?” I whispered 

“Here to sleep with you for the last time, have you forgotten, I'll be leaving for Canada tomorrow in your place, and you'll be going back to school in place of me, it's going to be long before we see each other again, so let me be with my sister for the last time” He smiled at me and climbed the bed, 

I was momentarily happy at least knowing that my brother has smiled at me after a long time, and knowing that he still loves and cares for me relieved the anger my mum caused, I happily closed my eyes ready to have the best sleep of my life.

I woke up the next morning and my brother was already gone so I quickly got ready to leave for his school he already told me everything I have to know about his school, starting from the address to his hostel and also how to locate his class I was more than ready to leave, I can't wait to kick some ass, and practice my taekwondo on someone but then I remembered something.

Back in the days when I was learning taekwondo my master always used to say to get your enemy you have to act like a fool, don't let them know your weak point and don't let them know your strengths these two things are how to defeat your opponent so I set three rules for myself to keep me in this new school. 

Rule number 1: Always act timid, let them think you're weak, that way they won't suspect anything and I will find out their true nature one after the other

Rule number 2: Never let them know your next move

Rule number 3: No matter what happened I am Great Madelva, that's my one and only true identity.

It was finally time to have breakfast with my parents and leave, honestly I don't feel like eating with those two cause I'm fucking not in the mood not after last night. I dragged my bag and made my way to the door but as soon as I opened it I was surprised to see Great.

“Great?” I called in surprise, he shocked me when he hugged me so tight,

“Great, are you okay?” I patted his back calmly

“Hmm, I'm going to miss you, please be careful” 

I smiled and hugged him back,

“Of course I'm going to be careful, I can't let those bullies get to me don't worry” 

“Are you sure” He pulled back to look at my face,

“Of course” I smile, pinching his cute cheeks, cause my brother is kind of chubby but in a cute way

“Great?” 

“Hmm”

“Can I ask you something?” 

“Hmm, you can” He muttered staring into my eyes

“It's about those students that bullies people in your school, has no one tried reporting them to the school authorities?”

He sighed heavily

“Some have actually reported them but those bullies ends up being top students from rich homes so the school always silence whoever report them and even threaten to expel the person, so no one can stop those bullies not even the school”

“Shit, this is messier than I thought, how many students died last session?”

“Three and one is my best friend I told you about”

“What's his name? I mean your best friend" 

“Jonathan” 

“Sis” He suddenly called and held my hand

“Hmm?”

“Don't you think it is selfish of me to let you go back to my school? I'm your brother I shouldn't let you do that on your own” 

I smiled and caress his hands,

“Come on Great, remember I'm the one that want to do this, besides someone needs to stop those bullies, someone has to do something”

“But it doesn't have to be you”

“Why don't we take this as a new experience for me, remember all my life I've been homeschool because mum and Dad think I'm too wild and will cause so much trouble if I attend school outside, maybe this is an experience for me to witness school life”

“But you already got that opportunity remember you should be going to Canada”

“No, I don't want to go anymore I suddenly want to experience school life with other people please let me go”

“But Canada you're still going to school with other people remember you have always wanted to be a basketball player I can't take that opportunity away from you” 

“But you're also giving me opportunity to experience school life, basketball school is different. I can't let you go back there, you have to trust me I'll be fine” I bathed my lashes giving his puppy eyes

“Alright fine but you have to promise me to take care of yourself, and you don't have to fight those guys, if it gets tough come back home immediately okay?” He said all at once with caring eyes,

“Of course trust me, I'll have revenge for all the pain they cause you, for the damage injury in your knees they will have to pay, for making your life in school hell they will pay and for the death of your best friend and every other student that has lost their lives because of them I'll make sure they pay, 

I'll make sure your school pay for covering up those bullies but most importantly the death note that was sent to you, whoever sent those note is the one responsible for the students death, I promise you I'll expose them”

“Come here” He pulled me into his arms, hugging me tightly 

“I love you sis” He whispered 

“I love you more” 

“I'm going to miss you” He pouted with his cute puppy eyes

“Me too” I smiled, and hugged him for the last time 

“Grace and Great! You both should come down with your bags” We heard our mother's voice

“You're ready?” Great asked and I nodded

“What about your hair?” I asked him

“That's why I'm putting on a cap” He smiled, it's crazy how he looked so good in my gown you could barely notice we switched..

We got downstairs and met our parents in the dining room, 

“Breakfast is ready” Mum announced

“Not hungry!” We both chorused at the same time, and our parents attention turned to us immediately, they were both looking at us without saying anything 

“Grace?” Mum called and my brother answered

“Great?” She called and I answered, she kept on looking at us without saying anything, guess my dad noticed  my mum stares

“Honey what are you staring at?” My dad asked her

“Nothing, I'm just confused”

“Confused?” 

“Hmmmmm” My mum nodded still looking at us, at this point I could feel Great’s heart beating so fast, while I was unshaken, Great was very nervous, my mum suddenly stood up and began walking to us, we were both standing with our already packed bags, 

“Grace?” She called and stopped before me but Instead Great answered

“Ohhh” She sigh and walked to him,

“Your hair, why is it short?” 

“Uhm, ehhh” Great stuttered 

“Grace wanted to pack her hair short so I helped her” I intervened immediately 

“Ohhh okay” My mum sighed in relief and turned to leave, I could see Great breathing out in relief but immediately, my mum stopped and turned to me,

“Great?”

“Yes mum” I answered

“Your dad and I have talked, we will visit you often in school this session, just to make sure you're okay, is that fine with you?” 

I didn't answer her, I have no reason to

“Can I get a hug?” 

Great gave me a shocking look, but I signaled for him not to worry, this morning I already used a bandage to wrap my boobs.

“Please honey give mummy a hug” 

I didn't want to give Great a bad name cause I know that if I keep on acting stubborn my mum is definitely going to become suspicious, Great is not stubborn, unlike me, so in other to save the day, I pulled closer and hugged her, she hugged me so tight like I'm going to run away or something. 

“I'm glad you're okay” She muttered and pulled back, 

“Great, don't come home this session with bad results. It's time you make up for the bad sessions, understand?” Came my father's annoying sermon, but instead of replying him, I dragged my bag outside ignoring him, the drivers that will drive me to school and take Great to the airport are already waiting outside, 

“One last hug” Great said to me and hugged me,

“Remember if it gets so hard that you can't take it anymore, come back home immediately okay?” He whispered in a worried tone,

“Hmm, I promised” I smiled, we pulled away and he kissed my forehead, 

“Take care” I said to him

“You too” He smiled, and got into the car that will be driving him to the airport, I put my car into the car trunk and also got into mine, it was finally time to leave, I looked at my parents who had been standing and staring at us, and just when the car was about to leave my mum rushed to the car and squeezed something into my hand, 

“Don't look at it until you get to school” She whispered.
