Lunaya.“Thank you for your assistance here, Alyse. I know my mother would have been lost without you” Gunner said in a deep gruff voice, a voice that sounded tired and overworked. Like he too had been crying a lot recently.“Oh stop, it’s the least I could do, especially as I could not fight” she cooed back.“You can’t fight? But from what everyone has told me, Luna Eclipse she-wolves are fierce terrifying warriors. Aren’t you as well?” Zelena said as she lifted her head and looked to Alyse. Alyse chuckled and leaned back in her seat.“You’ve been told right, Luna-Eclipse are the fiercest warriors you will ever come across. However I, we, are not from Luna Eclipse” Alyse said with confidence. It wasn’t a secret anymore. I had already confessed this to Gunner. But I don’t know if I’m ready for where this conversation is leading. I want to tell Zelena the truth, and I have every intention of doing so. But I had hope to have a little time to practice what I would say to her first.“You’
Lunaya.Alyse and I were huddled in the corner booth, stuffing our faces with bread and lukewarm stew. Alyse had her legs draped over mine so that she was nearly in my lap. I had a piece of bread hanging between my teeth as I waved it in front of Alyse’s mouth. She chuckled and snapped her teeth at the bread, pulling it from my mouth. I laughed and grabbed either side of her face, I pulled her to me and pressed my lips to her cheek. The kitchen door flew open and in walked Gunner with Zelena in his arms. She had her arms and legs wrapped around him like a koala. Alyse and I went silent as we watched them enter. Gunner paused and flicked his eyes to mine. He quickly looked to Alyse and then down at the bowls in front of us, before continuing on into the kitchen. I sat up straight, expecting that he would put Zelena down so I could see her. But instead, he kept one arm under her backside and carried her with him to the fridge. Zelena had her head nuzzled into the crook of his neck, hidi
Lunaya.I left Zelena to rest and went in search of Alyse. No doubt she is tending to the injured Weres. As I made my way outside, I found the clearing filled with bandaged and bloodied Weres. Most of them were up and about, walking around or sitting and talking. Some, however, were laid out on stretcher beds, in far worse shape. A few tables had been set up with some she-wolves serving food to the warriors. I spotted Alyse flittering between two stretcher beds and made my way to her.“Can I help?” I asked. I stepped up behind her as she was wiping the blood from a she-wolf's face. Alyse jumped with a squeak and turned around, I’d startled her. I smiled and she sighed.“No love, you need to rest as well”. She went to brush me off before her eyes landed at my side.“Come and sit down” she ordered, leading me to an empty stretcher.“Love, I'm fine” I protested,“Don't be stupid, Lunaya. It needs to be cleaned or an infection will spread” Alyse scolded. Of course she's right, she usually
Lunaya.Once Tobias was done dressing her, he tucked her into the bed, pulling the covers up to her chest. He peeled his own soaking t-shirt from his massive frame and sat on the edge of the bed. He gingerly placed his hand on her stomach, then he sat silently and stared at her. I watched her as she lay completely still, with only the small movement of her chest going up and down with each breath. After a few minutes, Tobias’s deep voice whispered,“She turned to the darkness. I could not stop her, and I could not bring her back. She was almost lost to it”. I didn’t respond, just listened as he explained.“The black magic was consuming every part of her. Every part” Tobias whispered as his hand moved in a slow circle over her abdomen. I know of the darkness. It is a big part of the stories and training passed down from our ancestors. Throughout history, only one Triple Goddess has been completely lost to the dark side. She lost her Mate and went mad with grief. It took a lot to kill h
Lunaya.“Okay” he grumbled, the sound echoed around the large bathroom. I didn’t wait for him to change his mind again, I stepped forward and grabbed a loofah that was hanging from the tap. I pumped a squirt of soap onto the sponge and turned around. I ran the sponge over her arm. Her chest and stomach were covered by what I assume was once a white t-shirt, now in tatters and stained with blood. I picked at the ripped collar of the shirt and lifted it.“May I take it off?” I asked Tobias, being careful to not anger him. He nodded his head silently. I extended one of my claws and dragged it along the length of the cloth. As it came away, I saw the extent of her wounds on her chest and stomach. A mix of a growl and a sob fell from my shocked and agape mouth. The wounds had already started to heal. But there is no denying that she was banged up pretty badly. I ran the soapy loofah over the skin that didn’t have open wounds, which didn’t leave a lot of other areas. I moved down her bruise
Lunaya. The trip back to Tri-Moon was dismal. All of Lua Chei, apart from Analah, Ares, and four others, went back to their pack lands. Alpha Travis bid farewell and left for Waning Wolf with his warriors. Tobias insisted that his brother, Alpha Marius, went back home. They argued over it for a while, but Tobias won, and his brother went back to their pack. Alpha Lace, however, refused to go home. He sent his men and Beta back, keeping only three Weres with him. He was very insistent on coming back to Tri-Moon, and I am very curious as to why.Tobias and Gunner were very tight-lipped about whatever happened out there. All they said was that the Origin Alpha murdered Cole, and then they killed him in return. As for Zelena and her unconscious state, they said that she depleted her energy fighting off the Alpha. I could tell they were lying. Zelena is a Triple Goddess. It would have weakened her, but not to this extent. Something else happened. And I'll be dammed if they are going to kee
