Chapter 05

Alima POV

I didn’t utter a word cause I was scared this would be the end of my fantasy.

The door opened without my response and like a shock jar my heart sank in despair till his face pop up at the entrance.

His green eyes stared at me like a ray of light making me wonder what he would look like in the morning, he seems ethereal that it gives me the certainty that this is definitely a dream.

That I’m yet to wake up.

He kept walking towards me while I swallowed hard, staring at my toes hard.

Is he going to throw me out? He takes his seat on the coach across the bed, “What’s your name?” He speaks so fluently and I felt more out of his league.

“My name,” I paused, back at home they never asked for my name, most of them called me whore or an omega.

“Alima, Alima Simpson.” I replied, he could get annoyed if I didn't answer him right away.

He looked at me calmly as if trying to know what’s going on in my mind, I didn’t know what to say or how to react towards him because I didn't want him to get angry.

What if he rejects me too? I will die. That’s certain, I’m too weak right now and won’t be able to take that blow.

“I’m not going to hurt you Alima,You’re my mate and it seems you have went through a lot and I won’t add to it believe me”

He sounds so sure of himself but I will be stupid to believe whatever he’s saying, they are all the same, nothing good comes out of those in higher rank.

Bunch of liars who just want to deceive you and use you then dump you, “Don’t try to tell me those things” I blink away my tears trying to hide how broken and damaged I’m.

Words mean nothing to me now especially from people like him, it’s nothing and I won’t be fooled by it.

He stands on his feet and stretch his hand forward for me to place mine on “Dinner is ready and everyone is waiting”

I looked down from his face and his gesture, he’s been too polite.

I stand up on my own and walk with him.

His eyes were on me and I could feel it, he knew I could feel his eyes on me but he kept staring so hard anyways.

We walked through the hall and turned towards a magnificent doorway, everywhere was so silent that only our footsteps could be heard.

I almost thought the guards around were statues until they drew the door apart, we entered the dining room and I was surprised.

I was expecting a long hall for someone of his status but it was just a small table of two chairs.

He pulled out a chair for me and I looked at his face before taking myself, I wish I could know what’s going on his mind.

I wish someone could tell me who is or just wake up from this silly dream already, it’s starting to feel so real.

He said everyone was waiting but there’s no one here, He took his seat and we started eating slowly and in silence.

A light came on from a stage not far from us and a lady was there picking up her painting brush drawing not so far from us.

“She was waiting for us” He corrected and she looked back at us at once, he went silent and she continued painting.

Is this like a custom? I felt like he wanted her to be silent, we finished eating and I was so in love with what she painted.

It’s a ditch, it seems like someone has already fallen into it and it’s half opened. A female hand struggles above the ditch as if asking for help.

I felt like I was in there, in the ditch but not anymore.

He took my hand even though I wanted to resist it, “She shouldn’t have drawn that I’m sorry” He suddenly apologized.

“It’s nothing, I liked the painting” I was honest, it reminded me of my reality, the one I will soon return to.

“No, it’s an insult” He stopped looking into my eyes.

“It seems like an insult to you but it’s my reality, if at all, You are real and all this is not a dream then that would remind me of where it started from.”

“Okay” He didn’t seem like he agreed with me but he didn’t want to argue with me, I could tell.

We entered a hallway and I stared around like a lost puppy in a field. “She’s my cousin”

If this is real, I don't want it to end, I’m not believing his soft attitude but I won’t be deceived.

My leg hit the stairs and my legs lost their balance, he caught me before I could fall.

“Careful” His soft whisper hit my ear and his hot breath fanned the back of my ear.

He lift me off the floor and I had“The doctor is already waiting for us in the room”

I held onto him tightly and I saw him smile slightly if I’m not mistaken.

What’s funny, “Klador” His supposed cousin walked towards us from another direction.

He looked at me in his arms and then at his face, “she hurt her leg” He says and continues walking while I try to avoid her eyes but it was inevitable.

“Right, I almost forgot we picked her up from the ditch” She replied and he stopped walking.

“I don’t need an escort Janet” His voice was so cold, like he’s about to explode in anger.

“Yes Kaldor” her reply was shaky and she walked away immediately.

“Can you not mind her at all?” He looked down at me and just when I want to adjust my hand around his neck and our lips brushed each other.

  • A Heart The Alpha Can’t Own   My daydreams ?

Alima POVI slowly opened my eyes, and was met with a sight that made my blood run cold. I was lying on a cold, damp stone floor, surrounded by dark, grey walls. The air was musty as it stinks badly. I struggled to sit up, but a wave of pain washed over me and my body ached all over. I raised a hand to my forehead, wincing as I tried to piece together how I had ended up in this forsaken place. Then I realized I fell Into a ditch. “Who saved me? And how come I was in a dungeon? Did Alpha Marek catch up with me?” I subconsciously asked myself questions I couldn’t answer but there was only one way to find out.I began pounding on the door, as I screamed and yelled at the top of my lungs. “Let me out!" . “Open the door! I want to go home!" I kicked and pounded on the door, wailing as my voice hoarse from shoutingMy screams and yells gradually gave way to sobs and tears as the reality of my situation overwhelmed me. I slumped against the door, my body shaking with convulsive sobs as I b

  • A Heart The Alpha Can’t Own   Captured

Alima POVI was tired of thinking. I was tired of hoping that everything would get back to normal–no. Nothing was ever going to get back to normal. And I've got just five hours left to decide whether or not I'll serve the Alpha King or rather still, leave the pack.I was on my knees, scrubbing the cold floor of the pack house when I heard someone call my name. I looked up sluggishly to see Steph standing there, her eyes darting around nervously. Her blonde hair was tied back, and her lips were pressed into a thin line, like she was about to spill something big. "Alima ," she whispered, squatting down to my level. “I need to tell you something.”I paused, wiping my hands on my apron. “What is it?” I asked with the little strength in me.She looked around again to make sure no one was listening. Her voice dropped lower as she said, “I overheard something... something important.”"What do you mean?"She hesitated for a moment before blurting out, “Are you the Alpha King’s mate?”The qu

  • A Heart The Alpha Can’t Own   Two choices

Alima POV I stood in front of the Alpha’s door, my heart pounding so hard it felt like it would burst out of my chest. I didn’t want to be here. I didn’t want to face him. But I had no choice. He had requested to see me. My mind kept spinning with questions I didn’t have answers to. Why was this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this? I hesitated, then raised my hand and knocked softly. No answer. I waited, biting my lip nervously. I knocked again, a little louder this time. Still nothing. My breath quickened as I raised my hand a third time, then his voice sounded. "Come in," his voice came at last, cold and... I swallowed hard and pushed the door open, stepping inside. The room was a bit dark from the dull lamp that illuminated the room, the scent of leather and pine filled in the air. Alpha Marek sat at his desk, his broad shoulders tensed as he scribbled something on a piece of paper. He didn’t look up, but I could feel his power radiating through the roo

  • A Heart The Alpha Can’t Own   Used

Alima POV I sat by the counter, my back slightly slouched, my hands clasped together in my lap as I stared around, waiting to be called on stage. It was very hard for a lowly omega werewolf like me to secure a decent job, I could only work as a club dancer. I tried my best,I just couldn’t escape being here after all. “The Silvercrest pack wouldn’t leave our pack alone, it’s tiring to see how they’re making it difficult for our Alpha,” Benita, one of the club dancers, was talking to another dancer. “They’ve been enemies with our pack for decades, it’s hard for them not to cause trouble,” Sharon chirped in and I sighed, tired of their conversation. “Alima!” Madam Vee said as she walked down to me, anger evident in her face. I quickly stood up and rushed to her before she could get to me. “What the hell are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be dancing and earning more money for me?” She yelled over the loud music and I immediately apologized. “I’m sorry ma’am, it won’t happen again.”
