تسجيل الدخولDeMarco lightly chuckles. "I think, my lady, I owe you an apology."
"Why? We both probably had way too much to drink last night. I know I certainly did. I never drank that much before in my entire life. Don't get me wrong. I don't regret anything about last night." DeMarco said without a hint of disappointment. “I just hate that I can’t recall it all as clearly as I would like.”
Their drinks and food came to the table. Ava took a long drink from her wine glass almost immediately.
“Whoa, we don’t want to have a repeat of last night.” He said jokingly.
“Don't you regret anything about last night?”
“Please forgive me, my mind is drawing a blank about the details of last night. I know we are husband and wife. And I do recall a few things, as you can dance. And quite sexy too."
“This is serious, at least for me.”
“Okay, I’m listening.”
He listened quietly as she told him everything—the confrontation with her family, Justin’s ultimatum, the impossible choice she was being forced to make. Her voice broke when she spoke of the annulment, of giving up even the idea of a future together.
When she finished, DeMarco was silent for a long moment. He leans on the table, gazing closer, eyes blazing with determination.
“So that’s it,” he said, voice low. “You’re just going to walk away? Pretend it never happened?”
Ava blinked back tears. “What else can I do? If I stay with you, I lose everything—my family, my inheritance, my future. But if I go back…I lose myself.”
He shook his head, taking her hands in his. “You think money is all you have to offer? That’s not what I want, Ava. I never wanted your fortune. I want you.”
She looked away, ashamed. “I’m not brave like you, DeMarco. I can’t live in poverty. I’m not made for it.”
He squeezed her hands. “Then we’ll figure it out together. I may not have much, but I have dreams. Ambition. With you by my side, we can build something real. Something that’s ours, not handed down by your family or dictated by their expectations.”
Ava’s breath hitched. “They’ll never forgive me. I’ll be cut off.”
“Then let them.” His voice was fierce. “Let them see what you’re capable of. You’re stronger than you think, Ava. You proved it when you chose me, even for one night. Don’t let their fear make you forget that.”
She stared at him, torn between longing and dread. “You make it sound so easy.”
“It’s not easy. But it’s worth it.” DeMarco cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing away a tear. “You don’t owe Justin anything. He wants you as a trophy, a way to mend his pride. I want you as my partner, my equal. You have a choice, Ava. Maybe for the first time in your life.”
She closed her eyes, letting his words wash over her. For a moment, she imagined a life with him—a small apartment, laughter and paint and music, struggles and triumphs that were theirs alone. And then she remembered the chill in her father’s voice, the disappointment in her mother’s eyes, the heavy weight of expectation pressing down on her.
“I don’t know if I’m strong enough,” she whispered.
DeMarco tipped her chin up, forcing her to meet his gaze. “Then let me be strong for you. Stay with me, Ava. Give us a chance.”
Ava’s heart pounded. She wanted to say yes. She wanted to throw caution to the wind, to leap without looking. But the fear was still there, gnawing at her resolve.
“I need time,” she said finally, her voice barely audible. “I need to think.”
He nodded, understanding in his eyes. “Take all the time you need. I’m not going anywhere.”
She stood, her limbs heavy with indecision. Ava watched him for a few more minutes; the dreaded look on his face left her feeling dejected, so she says.
"Look, let's just end this and pretend none of this happened. I'll meet you at the lawyer's office tomorrow in the morning. Here's the address. She got up from the table and left DeMarco sitting there with his mouth open, and his hand stretched out to stop her.
He got up, walked her to the door, his hand lingering on hers.
As she stepped out into the cold night, Ava knew the chapter of her old life was closing behind her. Ahead lay the future, uncertain, fraught with risk and possibility. For the first time, the choice was hers alone.
And as the door closed softly behind her, she wondered if she would ever be brave enough to take it.
DeMarco tossed and turned and turned all night back at the hotel. He couldn't sleep. Thinking about Ava always and how much he enjoyed his time with her today. "Why do I keep thinking about her?"
DeMarco said, now sitting up in bed. When he couldn't come up with a reasonable answer that suited him, he took the sheet and pulled it over his head, burying his face in frustration.
Lying there for another hour, still unable to resolve this matter. 'Why can't I just be happy with the decision to nullify this marriage tomorrow morning, and go back to the life I had before?'
He couldn't stop thinking about her! Why? Because DeMarco had never met a girl who was so much like him, yet so very different. She was sexy and sweet, with a way of making him want to know more about everything in life. She was indeed his dime piece. She is smart, and they were also in the same line of work! How could he score the perfect 10 and walk away?
***Ava sat up in bed; she hadn't been to sleep either. She threw her head back and smiled at the ceiling. Goodness, the things that man had done to her with one sizzling look of those bedroom eyes. Her core began to respond at the mere thought of him, and her heart settled in her chest.
"Maybe I could think of DeMarco when I’m with Justin, and I’ll be able to endure it. What on earth am I saying? I must be insane." She'd never been the type of girl who jumped in feet first, and it was her first time doing it, and she had to go, and fall in love, or is it lust? Whichever it is, it’s chemistry, and precisely what she needed in her life. DeMarco wasn't dull but dependable, and he filled her with lust, desire, and passion, a fire unlike she's ever known before.DeMarco surely could fuel her fantasies for the next fifty years.
Or longer.
"Ava? Our show is about to come on. Come, baby, I got our popcorn ready." "Okay, mom." She says as she kisses DeMarco one more time. "I love you and miss you." She says winking as she leaves their bedroom. DeMarco laid in bed and watched television alone waiting for Ava to return to his arms. "Mom, let's take a walk this evening; it's nice outside." "Okay. After our show." Later that evening, they talked and walked, and after their walk. They stopped out in front of the apartment building. "Mom, just because you are not used to being around another race of people so closely. You've got to give DeMarco a fair chance. He's your son and a part of our family, and he's an adorable guy. If you give him a chance and get to know him, now stop pretending you don't understand him because that hurts his feelings. It's not easy to learn another language, and he tries hard with his Korean." "But I don't know what to talk to him about. What do I say?" "Really, Mom? You can talk about the s
Around 6:30 pm. the doorbell rings Ava drops everything she's doing to run to the door. She looks at the video intercom and says opening the door. "Mommy! You made it! I can't believe you're here!" She hugs her tightly."Look at my baby girl; you look beautiful!""You too mom. Come in; come in." Ava helps her mother with her luggage. "Wow! Look at this place! It's expensive!. What kind of man is this that you married? He's not selling drugs or a part of some gang?" "Oh, my goodness, Mom! No, no way! I don’t think Justin could have had you living anything like this!""That would be impossible for that prick! Anyway, we told you his family is well off, and he’s a very wealthy man. " "Child, this is beyond well-off! This looks like he's inherently wealthy or a drug lord." Ava laughs. "Now would I be married to a drug lord?" "Okay, I guess he's legitimately wealthy if you say so,"Her mother says, looking around at everything. "So this is the wedding picture. I hate you got marrie
No matter how much they touched and hugged one another, that craving to be closer never left for a moment. The touch of his mere fingers ignited her. The small caresses of her hand on his neck and his hair made him tingle for more. When they arrived at the beach, it indeed was another highlight of the day. Ava shook her hair loose, and when she looks up, she sees DeMarco staring at her because she was so sexy. The sound of the water lapping against the shore, the wind blowing through her hair as she lay there, looking up at the sun, feeling it warm her skin. All these blessings made Ava realized she did things right this time. You can feel it in your heart and see the difference. And this is what she needed him in her life. This is something all humans no matter where we live and what races they are, just like we need the sun, moon, and stars we need real love. She smiled over at DeMarco as he played in the sand, she gets up to see what he was making, she stops walking, standing in
"I would like to take a quick shower first, if that's okay with you?" Ava says with a hint of sensuality in her lips as she undresses briefly in front of him, revealing that her bra definitely unsnaps in the front before entering the bathroom.DeMarco nodded, smiling as illicit thoughts paraded through his mind. The shower was steaming up the bathroom as she closed the door with a soft push. DeMarco noticed the door, and the lock didn't connect, leaving him access if he dared to enter. He stood there unbuttoning his shirt as his body was this close to combusting. DeMarco, with his shirt open, barely remembers opening the door to the bathroom as he enters the fog of the steam and sees her nude, slender, curvy body showering. "I was wondering what took you so long." She whispers, eyes all full of licentious fire. She watches DeMarco undress. He drops his shirt to the floor and steps out of his jeans. Naked, his legs are long, muscular, and sweetly shaped. He has these broad shoulders a
When DeMarco opened his eyes, he was speechless, seeing his wife's lovely body. After she stared at her for a full minute, Ava said with her eyes closed. "What?" "I like to look at you.""I like when you look at me." His suggestive tone made her flush from head to toe, and he quite liked it.DeMarco cupped her shoulder, slid his fingers down her arm, and wrapped his hand around hers. Once he had a firm grip on her hand, he placed it over the erection that pulsed between them. Ava gasped at his audacity but didn't withdraw her hand. Instead, she pressed against him and made his eyes roll back in his head."Now, we continue this a little later." Ava pointed to the bathroom and said, "Can I go put my clothes on, please?" "Sure," his wife was deliciously nude. DeMarco's eyes cascaded down her shapely body. She left the bedroom, and DeMarco watched her creamy skin as she turned. He sees a voluptuous rump that was complemented by pleasing curves, sashaying away. Ava had changed into a v
Honeymoon Breakfast: the wind blew, and the air became filled with Ava’s feminine scent.“We both probably had way too much to drink last night. I know I certainly did. I never drank that much before in my entire life! Wait, I take that back. The night we got married, I had so much fun!”DeMarco lightly chuckles. "Yes, my lady, we did have fun that night being drunk.”“Now I understand the whole bartender, nightclub scene better. You love to dance.”“I can dance, just a little." He says, modestly smiling bashfully."Oh, I beg to differ. You can dance! And quite sexy too. "You're a great kisser too." She snickers, batting those long lashes. " The touch of her hand against his set him ablaze instantly. She placed a kiss on his cheek before he could finish his statement. That made them both laugh. Because he just knew she was going to kiss him on the lips. Their meals came, and they enjoyed their beautiful brunch together. He watched her eat as she smiled and shamelessly flirted with hi
A heavy silence blanketed the living room, only broken by the ticking of the grandfather clock in the hall. Ava sat rigid on the edge of the brocade settee, her mother’s hand at her back—gentle, but firm as a shackle. Across the room, her father’s face was a mask of disappointment and wounded pride
Ava’s voice trembled, though she tried to sound firm. Her heart hammered in her chest, a sharp, guilty ache blooming behind her ribs. She tried not to look at him, afraid her resolve would crumble beneath DeMarco’s surprised but steady gaze.I said, "DeMarco. My wedding is in a few hours. I have to

They head out to the justice of the peace, and DeMarco hailed the first cab and flagged it down. DeMarco gives the cabbie the address as he pulls her flush against him. Ava snakes her legs over his as their lips finally land in an explosive kiss for the first time. The fact that they were in the ba
