Chapter 148: Unimaginable Things

Alfred's POV

Freda has been trying to rejuvenate herself and she has been conscious between sleeps. She took herself for a wall with Vanna but almost collapsed halfway. Vanna had her back into the mansion stopping the lesson for the day. She has been asleep and there was this peace that went with her. I didn't understand the constant need to harness all this magic in due time.

From what Claire has said, Noah was coming for me. I couldn't help but think about it all night and needed relief to soothe the uneasiness that was grueling my insides. I couldn't help it, neither could I control it. It wasn't something that I could easily shake off and shrug on the coat of indifference or strength like everything is fine.

With all of this happening, I don't want to have to do something or make a very difficult decision about someone I hold dear to my heart. I would not take it this time, Kale was missing, and had used almost all resources to find him. Phil has not been reachable even Van
