Cathy had been running down the beach line, enjoying the sting of the salty wind in her eyes and between her furs. She enjoyed the crush of sand beneath her paws. There was something so serene about running along the water bank while the sun rose. The island was even larger than she thought it was now that she was running eastward.

A mischievous laugh resonated through her. She had always been the rebellious one of her siblings, definitely not as rebellious as Carl, but as a female and compared to Chase, she was pretty wild.

Ted didn’t have to know she had gone to the cove ahead of him. Besides, Cathy was pretty confident as she neared the rise of the rocky cliffs that she would be just as surprised when she saw the cove later tonight as she would be if she saw it this morning.

Besides, seeing it now without Ted as a distraction was a good idea. She had a good idea he didn’t just want to show her the cove. There were other things they could do in there too.
