“Will you explain what the heck is going on here?”

Asher’s tone was deceptively calm. Anthony could sense not just the confusion, he could also sense the fear he felt at seeing Ted awake without knowing what the heck to expect. He understood Asher’s fear but he also understood his anger. Even Chase and Carl were both angry and fearful and they kept respectful distances. The only people who didn’t subconsciously back off from him and Ted were Maggie and Teddy.

Maggie came forward and put her arms akimbo. “So, would you two explain what the heck I going on here?”

“Just as soon as he closes his and Ted’s skull,” Carl chipped in, disgust lacing his voice.

“Give me a moment,” Anthony told them and he stood up. While Ted watched everything going on with a frown across his forehead, Anthony used his powers to close up both their heads.
