Dressed in a black silky chemise, Cathy followed Veronica who led her to the back of the stage.

Veronica was muttering something about her not being ready for a show yet and why Edward could not see that when she glanced over at Cathy.

Cathy’s face was blank. She simply stared ahead at the back curtains leading to the stage with her hands clasped in front of her. Her amber eyes were dull, and her eyelids fell heavy, causing her lashes to fall just shy of her cheekbones. It created a very sultry look that even Veronica had to admit looked sexier than that of their best dancer.

She cocked a brow silently as she thought to herself, maybe she is ready.

While they waited for the next dancers to leave the stage, footsteps suddenly came running toward them.

Even though she heard them Cathy stared ahead. It was Veronica who looked back to see what the commotion was all about. Several of Edward’s girls were making their way toward them with huge frowns on their faces.

“Kitty!” they cried out.
