"Why are we gathering blueberries in the middle of the night?" I ask and eye the moon illuminating the forest.

Kara, my sister, rolls her eyes at me. "Because we don't have damn near enough food at home? You were too chickenshit to ask Ryan for help again, and Olivia got distracted by werewolf problems."
