The words hit me like a physical blow, sending a shiver down my spine as my heart hammered in my chest as I felt cold all of a sudden.

I struggled to maintain my composure, my mind reeling with fear and uncertainty. How could they even suggest such a thing? Didn't they understand that being wolfless was beyond control?

"I...I don't know," I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper as I tried to mask the fear coursing through me. "It...it depends on the circumstances, I suppose."
