Once I was dressed and ready, I made my way to Killian's office, my heart pounding with anticipation and anxiety as I wondered how exactly I'd explain it to him without giving it off that it was Olivia I was referring to.

On arrival, I saw Luna Elena, Killian's mother walking out and I immediately paused, bowed, and greeted but she merely hissed and walked past. I didn't need more proof to know she didn't like me one bit. And the reason, unknown.

Finally, at Killian's office door, I knocked softly on the door before pushing it open and stepping inside. Killian was seated behind his desk, his expression focused as he scanned through some papers.

"Ah, Lucienne," he said, looking up with a warm smile. "Good morning. I was just about to come find you."

I returned his smile. "Morning, Killian. I hope I'm not interrupting anything important."
