"Amarok," I whispered, happily hugging my wolf then I said goodbye as she told me it was time to return so my body could heal.

With a groan, I opened my eyes and found myself lying in a bed, the soft light filtering through the curtains casting a warm glow over the room. My heart skipped a beat as I glanced around, taking in my surroundings. And then, I saw him – Killian, asleep in a chair by my bedside.

A rush of relief flooded through me as I saw him and I jumped off the bed and ran to him. Without a second thought, I threw my arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace. "Killian," I whispered, my voice filled with gratitude. "Thank you for saving me."

Killian stirred at my touch, his eyes fluttering open as he gazed up at me with a shocked and sleepy smile. “Lucienne? How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay now," I replied, my voice tinged with gratitude. "Thanks to you."
