Chapter One

Abicus/

She was a devil in a blue dress and I knew it the moment my eyes settled on her. She made sure the dress fit her curves which is evident in the way she moves across the dance floor. She glanced at me once thinking it was enough to lure me into her dangerous game. Instead, I follow her with my eyes as she dances from partner to partner, she always finds my gaze at the end of each dance. I can see the intent in her eyes when she glances my way but no matter the partner she chooses I don't budge. Eventually, she gives in and walks towards the bar keeping a certain distance between us. I can see she wants me to pay attention so I don't entertain her. I can smell the perfume infect the air near me but she doesn't spare me a glance, she was still trying to capture my attention.

Every letter of the drink she orders was dripping with a hint of lust, she wanted me to hear it. If only she knew how dangerous this game was for her to play with someone like me. Even though I show no interest something must have captivated her because she continues to attempt at pulling my attention towards her. When all else fails she lets out a few words directed at no one, in particular, the way her soft voice lets those words flow so easily. She tried to be smooth when she slid just a little closer to me the perfume she wore had the scent of strawberries.

" Catching the devil's gaze is never a good thing."

I made sure I spoke slow but commanding, I wanted her to hear the power behind my words.

" Who's to say who the devil is tonight. Many people here tonight, after all, I would wager most here feel like a devil. We are all diving into the devil's pleasures here."

She knew how to use her words and she knew how to regain control of herself. Her words held truth this was sin city at its finest, everyone here had demons they wanted to feed tonight.

" Yeah everyone here is feeding the demons inside and embracing the sins they will regret in the morning."

" You sound like you have experience in that, something you wanna share."

I couldn't help but smile just a little too much she was a clever girl but didn't belong here. So I moved in a little closer but I never shifted my eyes to her, that's when I whispered.

" Wanna see a real devil in the devil's playpen, my cars outside."

Once I finished my words to her I walked slowly outside I didn't need to look back to see if she would follow. The game was won the moment she approached me and she won't realize it till the morning hits. My driver opened the backseat door for me and just as I slid in she had come outside so I made room for her. No hesitation as she slipped in she believed she was still in control of this game it was all over the way she held her posture.

" So personal driver or did you pay to have the extra player points."

" His name is Fredrick and he has served me for four years now as my butler and personal driver."

" So you must be rich then, what's the job?"

 " Devils contract."

" Ha...Still going on with that whole devil thing, alright I'll bite. What's the devil's contract?"

I just smiled at her because the door had opened she didn't press the question so I guided her upstairs. Once inside my apartment, she was visibly surprised at the decor even complimented my tastes. As she explored around I offered her a drink but she was captivated by the decor so I didn't get a response. I decided to make her a none alcoholic tonic that helps with hangovers in the morning.

" Like the decor?"

" Oh thank you. Yeah, it's amazing, I wasn't expecting this at all."

We continued talking about the decor as she enjoyed the drink I made her she was surprised I decorated myself. We didn't get much talking done because she came here with the intent of having sex but nothings ever so easy with me. The tonic I made for her was made with a little sleep aid medication which didn't take long to go into effect. I carried her to the spare bedroom and put her to bed before heading to the master bedroom to retire. Even with alcohol consumed I always awoke before seven in the morning normally I don't make breakfast but I had a guest. I cooked her something light that would help with her last night's drinking and made some light tea on the side.

" Mmm... Good Morning I'm surprised I don't have a hangover, how are you holding up."

" Alcohol doesn't affect me. I made you some light breakfast before you head out I'll have my driver take you home when you eat."

" I have a great memory when I get drunk and I'm curious why we didn't have sex."

" Because I don't indulge in half-measured pleasures. Consider yourself lucky, going home with strangers can be dangerous."

" So you keep saying with that devil talk but all I hear and see is a gentleman before me."

" Have you never seen a devil be a gentleman."

" They don't exist in this world, you are one or the other. But on that note, I need to get home so I don't miss my job interview. Thanks for breakfast"

I walked her outside to the company car and had Frederick drive her home, I needed to get dressed for work and clean up so I headed back inside. Today was supposed to be a new assistant after the last was removed, hopefully, the new higher is smart. Rules are the foundation of many things and breaking them is a problem for me.

Heading into the company building through a private elevator which takes me straight to my office. I have a policy not to be seen by the workers here, the only way into this room is the devil's slip. My company works with clothing products from design to creating original accessories, we are rather popular for our designs lately. However, the other side of this work is that I train the untrained, woman who needs discipline and structure. They come to me seeking that which they lack most, that's the devil's slip pass. In most cases, these women are claimed but they often return to me regardless which is fine as long as I'm helpful in the service I provide and the service I receive.

Today was to be a new secretary since the last failed to maintain the rules. The discipline that followed was necessary however she wanted no part in it, so I let her go. Hopefully, this one is capable of following simple rules, I can't raise the payment again. I think Devlin would be furious with me if I decided to do such. My usual client's come and go but only to place special orders which isn't uncommon. Towards the end of the workday, I had expected most of my employees to have gone home. But I suppose simple rules are too tempting to follow, by the way she calls out softly it's clear who she is. Another assistant coming to break rules I guess.

" Rules are meant to be followed, perhaps you haven't had the proper training to know that."

With the way I let my voice command the very room I can tell I startled her. She may not be able to see in this office with such heavy darkness, but I can see clearly. She's frantic looking for the voice no doubt but a familiar smell rises, one from the morning. Once I had moved swiftly around the office I secured the door, no longer a simple escape.

" You need to learn the rules."

My voice was quick as I closed the distance between us, my hands finding her hips as I breathe softly guiding her to the desk. I command her every motion as I direct her hands to place them on the desk.

" Freedom is one word."

" Sir... Please I-"

She was excited by this entire situation no matter how much she tried to hide it. She was given a warning so I pray she doesn't regret this later.
