Chapter Sixteen

Food.

The Wraeken was hungry and growled in anger. All it could think about was satisfying its hunger.

It spat out the chunk of deer thigh that it had been trying to chew and gagged in disgust.

Revolting!

There was only one thing that could tame the burning pit in its stomach; human flesh.

Everything else tasted like rotten garbage and it had, had enough.

It was beginning to slowly lose its sanity and it didn’t mind. It no longer existed as “he” and could feel its conscience slipping away. It was a wonderful feeling and it welcomed it.

Why had it waited so long to have the delicious first taste?

Its power grew with each human meal it consumed.

But the time frame within which it needed to feed was getting shorter and shorter.

At first, it had been satisfied with indulging in its cravings once in three months. But that window had quickly narrowed down to once in a month.

Now, it was once every two weeks and it knew that it could only get worse.

Soon, it would run mad fro
