FIVE.

Tulip's POV.

"So what is your name?" The green-eyed dude asked me as we both took a seat in the cafe. I took a bite of my muffin and let out a moan unconsciously in pleasure.

This was so fucking good and melty.

"Is it that delicious?" He asked, taking a bite of his muffin, as he stared at me, and I nodded with a smile.

"I am Tulip," I told him.

"Danzo." The black-haired dude grinned at me and I felt my heart melting once again.

"So what do you do?" I found myself asking and he chuckled while I widened my eyes slightly and immediately covered my mouth.

"Oh My God," I mumbled. "I am so sorry."

'How could I have been too forward?' I bit my lower lip hard as I looked away from him, and he chuckled again, his hands reaching forward to touch me.

I shivered, goosebumps covering my entire body as I turned to look at him in awe.

"It's okay. If anything, I am glad you want to know more about me." He winked and I felt saliva gathering in my mouth.

How could someone be so attractive? He was almost as beautiful as Xavier.

We sat there in silence, sipping our coffee and eating our snacks. I could feel his stare burning into my body while I pretended to be looking outside.

I was trying not to tremble, my heart acting funny.

'This was the first time I felt nervous in front of a stranger and also felt so attracted to him.' I tried not to breathe heavily.

From the corner of my eye, I noticed the rude waitress, standing from afar, a tray in her hand as she glared at me. The side of my lips curled into a smirk.

So she does like this dude? I couldn't blame her though. Who wouldn't?

I stood up from my seat and Danzo arched his eyebrows at me.

"Where to? You're leaving already?" He frowned and I giggled.

"Of course not. I have to use the restroom." I replied and the smile appeared back on his face.

"Good. I don't want you to leave yet." He licked his lips and I felt my cheeks burning.

"I don't want to leave either." I found myself saying and was surprised to see I meant it. Danzo raised his hand to his hair, flashing his muscles in the process.

I gulped, unable to stop myself from staring uncontrollably.

'Was he an Alpha too?' I wondered as I hurriedly left his presence, wanting to smack myself.

Who gets attracted to a guy they just met?

"I can't blame you. He is devilishly hot," Leslie whispered to me, and I groaned, finding my way to the restroom, hurriedly. I badly, needed to pee.

I did my business and came out to wash my hands at the sink only to meet the rude waitress standing by the entrance.

Her hands were folded across her chest, and she was still glaring, but that wasn't my business. I ignored her and applied liquid soap, then turned on the faucet.

"If you know what's good for you, you would stay away from Danzo." She warned or was it a threat?

I dried my hands and decided to ask.

"Is that some kind of threat?"

She scoffed.

"Whatever you take it as. Just be smart enough to leave Danzo alone."

I stood there, unable to believe her shamelessness.

"Should an employee be calling their customers by their names?" I placed a hand on my hip and she frowned.

"A mere worker here wouldn't tell me what to do. Rather than being a bitch to me, get him to notice your sorry ass instead." I said and her lips parted in shock.

I walked out of the restroom, brushing her shoulders intentionally since she stood in my way, and returned back to see Danzo preparing to leave.

A pang of disappointment went through me.

Didn't he say he didn't want me to leave or was I overthinking things?

"I am sorry. Something came up." He apologized and I faked a smile.

"It's alright," I told him and he gave me his phone to type my number, which I gladly did.

Normally, I wouldn't do that for strangers, no matter how nice they were to me, but something about this guy intrigued me, and I wanted to see him again, if possible.

"Why don't I drop you off? Where are you headed?" He questioned.

"Nevermore," I told him, and saw a sharp glint cross his eyes.

"Oh!" He muttered as if disappointed or something, his expression tightening.

My heart skipped a beat.

What was that?

"Let's go." He nudged and we headed to the park where I expected to see a car or something but rather;

"Shit! Is that a bike?" I exclaimed in disbelief and he smirked.

"Yes, my baby." He ran his hands all over the shiny, black, beautiful motorcycle that seemed to be calling to me to sit all over it.

I looked at Danzo's outfits all over again and then it clicked.

'This dude was a Biker. Was he from a gang? He seemed to be a leader. So many thoughts ran through my head, and I found myself moving close to the bike and running my hand on it too.

"It's pretty," I told Danzo, who handed me a helmet.

"Hop on and hold on tight." He commanded. I got on the bike, put on the helmet, and wrapped my hands around his waist.

He felt warm, and I felt the urge to rest my head on his body, but I controlled myself as he kick-started the engine and bustled into the streets.

The cold wind blew against my face, and I shook, especially when I saw the waitress staring at us, before he zoomed off.

'What a freak!' I thought and pushed her out of my head even though it was disturbing and creepy.

She looked like she wanted to kill us. Who was she and why was she so obsessed with Danzo?

I get he was handsome and all that, but whatever it was she had for him didn't seem healthy.

'Or should I ask Danzo about it, perhaps he knew or something?' I pondered but then shrugged the thoughts out of my head.

It was none of my business. Besides I just met him and didn't want to look like some cheap whore that was trying to invade into his business.

"We are here." Danzo said and I jolted back to reality, unwrapped my hand from his waist and got off the bike to grin at him.

"Thank you." I handed the helmet back to him in appreciation and he waved at me before zooming off.

I stood there for awhile, looking at him go. Soon he was out of my sight and I turned around to enter the body. I entered my room and popped down on the bed.

I let out a sigh of relief, trying to get some sleep when my phone began ringing from beside me. I immediately got up from the bed and looked to see an unknown number.

"Hello." I picked.

"Hi. It's Danzo." His deep voice sent my heart racing.

"Hey. How are you?" A smile crossed my lips before I could stop it.

"Fine." He chuckled. "You free tonight?" He questioned and I stopped playing with my hair.

"Probably, why?" I inquired and he breathed heavily.

"Fuck!" He cursed or should I say groan as if he was doing something hetic. I furrowed my brows in confusion, like he could see me.

"Oh sorry! I wanted to invite you out." He began and I mouthed an "oh".

'Was this a date?' I could feel my hand trembling from excitement.

"Are you in?"

"Yes." I replied quicker than I intended to and a sharp hiss escaped his mouth.

"Yes baby." He moaned and I stifffened.

Was what I think was happening, happening?

"Is 9pm okay?" He inquired.

"Yes." I responded.

"Cool. Will pick you up." He ended the call before I could say anything more and I collapsed back on the bed, lost.

Different emotions whirled in me. Emotions I couldn't place my fingers on. Was he fucking someone or they were giving him blowjob?

Was I disappointed? I probably should stop overthinking things. Perhaps he was with his girlfriend, I mean no one that hot could be single.

Also he could just see me as a cute girl whom he wants to extend friendship to. He might not have developed a crush on me like I am now.

I decided to catch a little sleep but set an alarm to 7:30 so I could get up in time and prepare. I wonder where he wanted to take me.

The alarm ringing loudly sprang me up from bed and I dashed into the bathroom to freshen up. I dressed in a knee-length, body hug gown and wore a coat to stop myself from shivering.

We were getting close to the end of the year and snow would soon be rampant in New York City, here.

Danzo came to pick me as planned and I was surprised to see him dragging me into a club. The shiny lights almost blinded my eyes.

"Dan.." I was about to call him when he took a sit and pulled me into his laps. My butt met his crotch and I widened my eyes as I felt his length.

"Oh my God." I was about to squeak when my eyes met a familiar golden eyed dude.

I went pale especially when the most delicious scent hit me ever.

…. Xavier…..

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    Happily after ever

Tulip’s PovIt had been a year since I gave birth to my son, Duke. Life felt lighter. Freed from villains, rivals, and fear, all I had now was family, love, and a sense of peace I never thought I would experience so fully. Duke was still sleeping peacefully in his crib, his tiny chest rising and falling with such innocence that my heart swelled with love.“Hey, Tulips, I just prepared your favorite meal. Please come join us at the dining table,” Xavier’s aunt called warmly from downstairs.“I’ll be with you all shortly, Aunt,” I replied, smiling. I watched Duke for a moment longer, brushing a soft strand of hair from his forehead. I whispered a gentle “good morning” to him, and he let out a tiny yawn as if he understood.Xavier’s family had truly become my home. They had embraced me from the very beginning, treating me as one of their own. Their warmth, laughter, and support made every day feel like a blessing. I often found myself thinking, what more could I ask for? Aside from the

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    blows that led to death

Xavier’s PovWhen I got back from Eli’s place, I didn’t see Tulips in the house. The silence felt strange. At first, I thought maybe she went to Clara’s house, but when I called, she wasn’t there. That was when uneasiness settled in.Her phone was ringing with no response until I noticed it lying on the couch. My heart skipped. Tulips never left her phone behind. I felt confused and scared at the same time.“Where could she be?” I muttered, my voice low and shaky.I picked up her phone and noticed that the recorder was on. She was probably recording something. My hands trembled slightly as I opened her phone using her password. We knew each other’s passwords, and for some reason, I felt compelled to listen to the recording. To my greatest disbelief, she had recorded conversations with Danzo.“Danzo was here?” I said out loud as I continued listening. My anger slowly turned into rage.I grew more infuriated when I heard the location he took her to, which he mentioned to some guys who

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    why is he apologizing?

Tulip’s PovI stood behind Xavier as he spoke to Danzo, my fingers clutching the edge of his shirt. My heart was racing so fast I was sure he could feel it through his back.I was scared, deeply scared, but for reasons I could not explain, I refused to let it show. Fear had no right to win tonight.“What could he possibly be doing here?” I muttered to myself. “And how did he even know we were staying in this villa as a family?”The questions crowded my mind, each one louder than the last. Nothing about this made sense. Danzo had been locked away. We had moved on. We had rebuilt our lives piece by piece. Yet here he was, standing right in front of our door like a ghost that refused to stay buried.I wanted to ask him everything. How he found us. Why he was here. What he really wanted. But something deep inside me told me to remain silent and let Xavier handle it.“I know you two may be wondering how I got here and why I am here,” Danzo finally spoke. The air went still. Even my breath

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    just been busy

Xavier’s PovOne year later.“After your marriage you’ve been so distant,” Oliver said over the phone.“So Tulips finally took you away from me?” he added, and we both laughed.I laughed before replying. “I haven’t been distant, Oliver,” I replied calmly. “I’ve just been busy taking good care of my wife. She’s pregnant, remember?”“Oh, that’s true,” he said, sounding amused.“How about Amira?” I asked. “How’s your marriage been?”“Well, it’s been great as usual,” he replied. “She’s pregnant too.”“What?” I exclaimed, sitting up straight. “No way. Are you serious?”“Yeah, you heard me right, Xav,” he said, laughing.I laughed too, genuinely surprised. “Congratulations, man. You never told me. I honestly didn’t expect to hear that.”“Just like I didn’t expect to hear that Tulips was pregnant either,” he replied, and we both laughed again.“So we’re both expecting babies,” I said, still trying to process it.“It’s what it is,” he replied simply.“We really need to have a family dinner t

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    Finally awaken

Tulip’s PovOne week later.“My valedictorian has finally woken up,” Clara teased as I slowly opened my eyes.“Will you ever get tired of that name? It’s been a week already,” I mumbled, still half-asleep.“No, not today and not tomorrow,” she replied firmly. “You deserve to be called that name always because you worked for it, girl. You earned it with every ounce of effort you put in.”I smiled softly, feeling the warmth of her words. “Thanks, Clara,” I said quietly. “Anyway, I’m starving.”“I woke up early and made your favorite meal,” she said cheerfully, her eyes sparkling as if she knew exactly how to lift my mood.I swung my legs off the bed and stretched, heading toward the kitchen. “I will miss you so much when you and Idris finally get married. The way you treat people, the care, the attention—it’s just too sweet. I’ll miss all that good treatment.”Clara smiled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “You can always come to our house when we get married. I will prepare al

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    Graduation day

Xavier’s PovFour months later. The graduation day was finally here.I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my graduating garment carefully, making sure it sat perfectly on my shoulders. I stared at my reflection for a moment longer than necessary, letting the reality sink in. College was officially over. All the sleepless nights, the stress, the exams, the moments of doubt, and even the victories had led to this day.“The graduation day is finally here,” I mumbled to myself, straightening my collar. Before I could dwell further on my thoughts, a gentle knock sounded on the door and my aunt walked in with a warm smile on her face.“It’s certainly going to be a great day for you, Xavier,” she said, her eyes scanning me from head to toe. “You look so handsome.”“Thanks, aunt,” I replied with a small smile. “You bought these shoes and suit for me, so you deserve appreciation too. Thank you.”I walked closer and hugged her tightly. She had always been there for me, supporting me in w
