Tulip's POV

“Why would Xavier keep doing this to him? Why would he choose Damian over his child? Why would it pay for Daniel?” I thought, annoyed. “And he wants to come out to be the best play rocket player ever. But he's not helping him in any way. Instead, he's helping Damian, who isn't even interested in any of this. He's actually trying to help Damian, who doesn’t even have any potential. What the hell is he doing?”

“I know Damian must have done something to warrant all of this.” I said with annoyance as I immediately stomped out of the school building and boarded the ATX Z. “Drive straight to Xavier's place,” I instructed. I was going to confront Damian as to why he's doing this. “Why does he have to act? Why does he have to do this to Xavier all the time? Why all the hate? And why all of this? What is he going to gain from it? Why does he keep on putting Xavier like this? Can't he just stop already? Isn't it enough for him?”

A lot of thoughts kept on running through my head. “I

Tulip’s pov“Good morning,” Clara said. “Hope you had a great night rest.”“Good morning to you too,” I replied. “Yeah, I slept well. How about you?”“Well, I slept fine,” she said. “You slept early and woke up late, something you’ve not done in a long while,” she added, laughing softly.“I was really tired yesterday,” I replied. “Even I’m surprised I slept for that long.”“It’s actually a good thing,” she said. “You slept like a baby for once.”“I have a slight headache,” I said. “But I need to get to school. I don’t even know the time.”I stood up from the bed.“What time is it?” I asked.“It’s 7:45am,” she replied.“Oh my goodness!” I exclaimed. “I’m supposed to be at school early today. It’s the second to the last day of training, and the competition is really close.”“You just have to hurry up,” she said. “You’ll still make it.”“I’ll do that right away,” I replied.“By the way, Xavier called last night,” she said.“Wait, what?” I asked, surprised. “He called you?”“Calm down,” s

Xavier’s pov “It’s good to have you at the dining today, Xavier,” my Dad said as he sat down. “At last, we finally got to have dinner together as one family after a very long while.” I looked at him but didn’t say a word. “Thanks to his aunt,” Tasha said. “She’s been helping out.” “Tasha, please,” my aunt giggled. “It’s nothing actually. I only wanted him to be here and he obeyed.” “He has never stepped out of his room for a long time after his mom passed away,” my dad said. “So seeing him here today is just lovely and I am glad.” “Why are you all surprised?” my aunt asked, laughing softly. “He refuses to come downstairs to have dinner with us,” Tasha answered. “I normally take his food upstairs for him.” “I guess you now understand why we are amazed,” my dad said. “This feels so unreal.” “Thank you for coming around,” Tasha said, looking at my aunt. “Since you came, Xavier has been trying to be more social and lively.” My aunt smiled. “I guess it’s because he’

Tulip’s pov“You are back already?” Clara said, surprised.I ignored her and went straight to lie down on the bed.“Did something happen?” she asked. “Is everything okay?”I still said nothing. She walked closer. “Tulips, I am talking to you,” she said.“Leave me alone,” I shouted. “Stop questioning me like I am your child or something.”“I am only concerned about you and you know that,” she said. “That’s why I am asking. I didn’t know it would get you offended.”“But now you see I am offended, don’t you?” I asked. “Please just leave me alone and mind your business.”“I can’t and I won’t leave you alone,” she said. “Not when you are in this state.”I remained quiet.“It’s okay if you don’t want to tell me,” she said. “But just know I will sit right here and wait for you to speak anytime you want,” she added and sat close to me, her gaze fixed on mine. Her words got to me and I burst into tears.“I am sorry, Clara,” I said. “I honestly didn’t mean to sound mean or rude to you.”“It’s f

Xavier’s pov“When do you ever get to act mature?” I snapped, trying to pull on my clothes as I moved closer to him.Tulips remained on the bed, wrapped tightly in the blanket, silent.“I didn’t tell you not to lock your door,” Damien replied with a mocking laugh. “Especially when you know you are going to be fucking your favorite pussy”. “How dare you?” I said, stepping closer, my hand raised in anger. Before I could do anything, he caught my wrist.“Don’t you dare lay a hand on me,” he warned. “Don’t even think about it.”I went quiet.“I wouldn’t have interrupted whatever was going on here,” he continued casually, “if Aunt hadn’t sent me to ask what you wanted for dinner.”He laughed again. “Or do you honestly think I care that you’re in here with my ex fucking her?”“That’s enough of your nonsense,” I said sharply. “Get out. Tell Aunt I’ll let her know what I want myself.”“Oh, okay,” he replied. “But don’t be in such a hurry to chase me away,” he added slowly.I stared at him, i

Tulip’s pov“Where are you dressing up to?” Clara asked as she walked out of the bathroom. “Is there any occasion tonight?”“No occasion actually,” I replied. “I just finished talking to Xavier while you were in the bathroom.”“Oh, so you’re going to meet him?” she asked.“Yeah,” I admitted. “I’m going there.”“Love is in the air,” she said.“What’s wrong with you?” I asked jokingly.“Nothing,” she replied, giggling softly. “You look good, by the way.”“Thank you,” I said.“So when will you be back? Tonight or tomorrow?” she asked.“I’ll be back after school tomorrow,” I answered.“Alright then,” she said. “Don’t forget to pack an extra cloth for school tomorrow.”“Gosh,” I exclaimed. “I almost forgot.”“I’m not surprised at all,” she said. “You’re in a hurry to see the love of your life.”“Give me a break for once,” I said, blushing. “Everyone forgets things sometimes.”I laughed softly as I walked to the wardrobe to pick a dress for school the next day.“Won’t you eat something befo

Xavier’s pov“You look so handsome,” my aunt said.“Thanks, Aunt,” I replied. “You didn’t say this when I came back from school.”“You were sweating and looked tired then,” she said. “But now that you’ve freshened up, you look really good.”I blushed hard at her words.“Will you ever stop making me feel like a baby?” I asked with a smile.“You are my baby,” she said. “And you’ll always be.”“Okay, okay,” I said. “I accept that now.”We both laughed.“Now come and cut your cake,” she said, bringing it out.“There’s no way you’re doing this,” I said, covering my face as I blushed again. “This is too much for me, especially on a day that isn’t even special.”“It’s not too much,” she said. “You deserve to be treated specially every day.”“Aunt, I love you,” I said, walking closer to hug her, my eyes filling with tears. “Thank you so much.”“You’re welcome, my son,” she whispered, kissing my cheek.“Now, can you cut the cake?” she asked.“Yeah, sure,” I said as I picked up the knife.“But
