ACCIDENTALLY HEARD

I didn't get any rest. Despite the fact that my eyes are heavy with sleep, I have opted to retire. The call I received last night has completely disturbed me. Should I just pretend it never happened? I look around, but it appears that not even the maid is around.

"We're steadily dwindling... The bank is slipping from my grasp, and I'm at a loss for what to do," a familiar voice stated. I went with my gut instincts. I tracked down the source of the voice. I come to a halt and notice that the voice came from my mother, who is now buried; it appears that she forgot to close the door. I take a step forward, eager to learn more. Who is on the other end of the line? "No, don't do that. He might do something because of you, and I don't want to be caught," my mother said to the other line. "Stop bothering me for a while, and I'll take care of it." I hurriedly walked away, but in my haste, the vase that I had passed by fell to the ground and broke. Oh, my goodness! In frustration, I closed my eyes. My mother inquired, "Who is in there?" I can already feel her presence. Her footsteps are getting closer to me. I come to a halt and hold my breath. If she discovers that I am listening in on their talk, she will chastise me again, and I don't want that to happen. Could someone please explain what's going on? I closed my eyes and gazed at the nearby vase, which had become strewn on the floor. Elizabeth's voice made me gasp. "Mommy? Mommy?" Because our mother appeared out of nowhere. I have the opportunity to leave the scene. Gosh. What is the matter with Mom and Dad? Is everything in order? I'm currently working in the kitchen. I took a seat in the one chair available. I took out my phone and dialed my father's number. I haven't spoken with him in weeks. "What is it, Nicole? Are you all right?" my father inquired, furrowing my brows. What is going on? This is not what I anticipated him saying. When it comes to phone calls, this is not his line. Instead of responding to his query, I responded, "Where are you, dad?" With so many agitated people here, I don't want to annoy him. I'm done with problems. "I'm good, young lady; how about your sister and your mother?" he inquired, and I bit my lower lip in response. Why is he the way he is? Even if our mother does not demonstrate how much she loves our father, he is always concerned about us. Why is it that our world is so unjust? I shook my head, disappointed. "We're fine here, dad; why aren't you home yet? Where are you?" I said, despite the fact that I already knew he was somewhere far away. He said, "I'm going ahead. I'll see you soon. Take care okay?" and then the connection went dead. When my phone rings again, I look at it. This time, though, the number is unknown. I hung up and did not pick up the phone. My phone rang again a few minutes later. My brows wrinkled as I considered who this person was. So I decided to pick up the phone. The other line inquired, "Are you Nicole Ashanti?" It's a female voice. I have no idea who this is because I am not an outgoing person. I didn't respond to her. I'm simply listening. "I'm right. Your sister made a mess, and you should be here by yourself to see it. I'm one of her friends anyhow," she replied, cutting the call short. I intervene. "Wait. Where is it? Where should I go? And why is my number in you?" I inquired, my curiosity piqued. "She gave us your number just in case the event gets messed up; I'll just email it to you over messenger," she added, and I shut my eyes again. What is the occasion this time? This time, what did Elizabeth do? I dashed up to my room and changed my clothing. When I check my phone, the information has already been sent to my messenger. I'm unable to see Elizabeth. What happened to them? Gosh. This issue should be resolved as soon as Dad and Mom become aware of it. I dashed over to one of the nearby cars. As soon as I take a seat in the driver's seat, I begin driving. The guard allowed me to exit by opening the gate. Maybe they mistook me for Elizabeth, which is why they opened the gate so quickly. I keep my poker face on. I intended to follow my regimen for the day, but I need to address a problem with my twin. What a thorn in my side, huh? When I'm already on the highway, I try to slow down, but I'm bewildered because it doesn't appear to be working. I attempted to stop the breaker, but the automobile refused to stop. Oh shit! What am I supposed to do? I'm going to die! The vehicle appears to be inoperable. I attempted to contain it, but I'm losing my grip. I reach for my phone, but it appears that I am unable to locate it. Oh my gosh. What to do? I am now over speeding and police cars are now behind me. They're following me around. Oh, my goodness! I let it focus on a nearby tree, and I find myself struggling to breathe. When I touch my head, it begins to bleed. My head is covered in blood. "Miss, open the door!" yelled one officer. I tried but failed to open it. It's closed. I'm trapped inside. What happened to this automobile? Oh, my goodness. I inhale deeply. "I can't unlock it! Help me!" I yelled, but it appeared that they were not hearing me. The car's glass is clear, and I believe I have the upper hand. I attempted but failed to shift my body. I've just been smashed through the front glass. I'm in a lot of pain.
