Silvano's Pov

The second Luca said Russians, my blood turned cold.

I didn't even need to ask which warehouses. I already knew. I knew the warehouses which were the target. They were my biggest warehouse in Italy.

Grace stood up behind me, her hand brushing my arm. “I am coming with you?” she asked, concern deep in her voice.

“No.” I didn’t even hesitate to answer her. “Stay here. I need to handle this.”

Her brows furrowed, “No. I insist. I want to be with you,” she said, and didn't leave room for me to say anything again. That alone told me how serious she knew this was.

“Valentina take Dominic somewhere safe for now. I don’t care where, just off the grid for now. He should be back with the couple tomorrow. He is safe there and I need you back at the main house by tomorrow. No one outside this room knows about him, and I want to keep it that way.”

Valentina nodded and went to get Dominic. Grave followed me and Luca back to the car.

“Any word on casualties?” I asked once we were ins

Grace's pov“You are fierce. Just what he needs by his side.” He said and Antonio agreed with him as he ate. “You can cook, which is a bonus. I haven't eaten such delicious food in a long time.”Salvatore said it with a mouth full of food, his eyes closed like he was savoring the taste of the food.“If I had someone make me food like this every day, I would marry the person right away without hesitation, or better still, I would commit extra crimes just to come home to it,” he continued. Was that meant to make me smile?“Please don’t,” I muttered, giving him a look.“Honestly, Grace,” Luca chimed in, licking his fingers. “Open a restaurant. Call it La Cucina di Grace. I will be your number one customer.”“I will be the head chef,” Antonio added. “I will help with the tasting every day,”“I will just marry you,” Salvatore said, winking at me. Oh God. He just met me and he was flirting with me. Val stood up from where she was seated and went to the refrigerator. “You all do realize y

Grace's povI followed Antonio out of the room, each step heavier than the last. My mind was still split—half stuck in that conversation with Luca, the other half trying to prepare for whatever Silvano had found out.We reached the hallway outside Silvano’s office.Antonio stopped. “He’s inside. You can go in.”I gave a stiff nod and pushed the door open.Silvano stood with his back to me, staring out the window, hands clasped behind him.The tension in the air was thick. He didn’t turn around as he said, “Valentina. Close the door.”I did. Finally, he turned. His eyes locked with mine—sharp, unreadable.“They moved,” he said. “The Russians. We found where they’re keeping the weapons.”I exhaled, part relieved, part confused.“And?” I asked. He walked toward the table, dropped a photo face-down, then looked up at me again.“They were expecting us.”My stomach twisted.“It was a setup,” he added. “Somebody told them we were coming.”He flipped the photo over.I looked at it— and felt t

Grace's povAs Silvano held me close, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. I was safe, and he had come for me. But beneath the relief, anger and betrayal simmered. Elisa's face flashed in my mind, her cold expression as she revealed her true intentions.I pulled back from Silvano, my eyes meeting his. "Elisa," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "She's the one who betrayed us."Silvano's expression turned cold, his jaw clenched. "We'll deal with her later," he said, his voice firm.I nodded, still trying to process everything. Silvano helped me out of the warehouse, and we made our way back to the safety of his estate. The drive was silent, my mind racing with questions. How could Elisa do this to us? What had driven her to betray us?When we arrived at the estate, Silvano took me to his study, where Luca was waiting. "We need to talk about Elisa," Silvano said, his voice serious.Luca nodded. "We've been investigating her activities. It seems she was working with the Russians a

Grace's povThe morning air was crisp as I stepped out of the safe house, the sun casting long shadows across the quiet street. Silvano had insisted on heightened security, but I needed a moment alone, a brief respite from the constant vigilance that had become our norm.As I walked towards the waiting car, a sudden movement caught my eye. Before I could react, a sharp pain erupted at the back of my head, and darkness enveloped me.I awoke to the cold touch of metal against my skin, the dim light revealing the confines of a stark room. Chains bound my wrists, and the distant hum of machinery hinted at an industrial setting.Footsteps approached, deliberate and unhurried. A man entered, his features obscured by shadows, but the insignia on his uniform was unmistakable Russian."Welcome, Grace," he said with a chilling smile. "We have been expecting you."Confusion and fear battled within me. "Why? What do you want from me?"He leaned closer, his breath cold against my face. "Informati

Silvano's Pov The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room. I sat at the edge of the bed, the events of the previous day replaying in my mind, the betrayal, the confrontation, the justice served. Yet, amidst the chaos, Grace's unwavering support lingered in my thoughts, a beacon of solace.I dressed swiftly, the weight of responsibility pressing heavily on my shoulders. The family needed reassurance, a reminder that strength and unity would guide us through the storm.Descending to the study, I found Luca already waiting, his expression solemn."Any updates?" I asked. He nodded. "The men are unsettled, but they trust your leadership. They needed to see that betrayal has consequences."I sighed, the burden of leadership never light. "We must ensure this doesn't happen again. Strengthen our security protocols. No one acts without oversight."Luca acknowledged with a curt nod. "Understood."Later, as I walked through the estate, I observed the men.

Grace's povAs Silvano left very early in the morning, without many words, I knew something heavy lay ahead. His silence told me everything. I didn’t stop him. I just watched him go, praying that whatever darkness he had to walk through, he’d return from it.Once the house settled into quiet, I got dressed and made my way to the clinic. I hadn’t seen Elisa in days, and there was a weight on my chest that only time with her could lighten. The hallway smelled like antiseptic and flowers oddly comforting in a place that had seen so much pain. I walked past a nurse, gave her a small smile, and reached Elisa’s room. She looked better than before, still pale, still recovering, but her eyes lit up when she saw me.“Grace!” she exclaimed softly, sitting up a little straighter in bed.“Hey, sunshine,” I said, walking in and pulling up a chair. “You are looking stronger.”“Stronger than I feel,” she admitted with a slight chuckle.I reached out and took her hand. “That is okay. One step at a
