Chapter Seven: New Beginning

"Pennsylvania? Pittsburgh?" A woman's voice on the other end of the phone shouted in disbelief.

"Yes!" She replied certainly. Her smile was vague but there was a hint of contentment and relief on her face. She looked fresh with only light make up on and her wavy, golden hair tightly tied in a high ponytail. Round shaped earrings hanging on each of her earlobes sweetened her look. Taya, at the moment, walked along the side of the street, her appearance was casually beautiful with a ring sling hanging on her shoulder. Her sneakers completely comforted her each step instead of her stiletto. While holding her phone on her ear, she kept reassuring her concerned mom.

"Mom, I am fine here. I just got a new job and now I am on my way to my workplace. This air here is fresh, you know.. unlike New York." Taya chuckled. This city was friendlier than New York. Taya thought it was a perfect city to settle down for her peaceful new life.
