His eyes were shifting to Taya who drove his sport car like a racer. He was not scared of the way she drove but he was scared that she might silently glance at his phone screen and caught the chat. Taya gripped the steak knife's handle as the coldness of the metal fought against Taya's heated palm, while Lucas showed a confused expression. "The beef tagliata here is so perfect. You should taste it." Lucas said as the waiter, who had been serving two plates of steak to the table, excused himself to leave."Of course." Almost whispering, Taya looked down at the steak on her plate. It indeed seemed delicious, but not delicious enough to grow Taya's appetite. Deciding to be absent today, Taya had no desire to go to work. Last night was a long sleepless night Taya had to face. Alone. Putting away her phone, isolating herself in her room, thinking about the best way to end her engagement. Quiting her current job had never been an option, besides, she had been promoted too but her decision was final and it was as round as her stubbornness. Her wavy blonde hair that she let loose below her shoulder bounced rhythmically. She greeted everyone who passed her while smiling bright as if she were the happiest woman alive. The jealousy was also vice versa. Taya had envied Ella since they were in high school. Ella was the Goddess of art, or so their college friends called her. Taya was never as brilliant as Ella when it came to art. She was only a common student in high school but she studied really hard so she passed exams with good scores every so often. Many preferred to be friends with Taya than Ella because Ella was quiet and kept herself to herself most of the time but Ella's creativity was beyond this univers, though. She ended up being a very talented fashion designer standing in front of Taya at the moment while Taya ended up being an employee in an automobile company she literally just quitted.Ella had been Taya's trustworthy friend. They had kept no secret and whenever Taya had a trouble or something happened in Taya's life, Ella was the first person to know. Unfortunately, Ella had broken Taya's dream of marrying Lucas shortly before the wedding day. That was what caught up in Taya's mind.
