Damien left his office after handling the last file for the day. It turned out after he and Christiana signed the marriage licence, he sent her back home and headed to his office.

By the time he arrived home, it was already midnight. Everyone was fast asleep including Christiana. The only people awake were the guards who were working their night shifts. But one more person was awake; Ma’am Theresa.

“You’re awake?” The old woman entered Damien’s room.

Ma’am Theresa and two other people; Jeremy and Mr. Hefty, were the only ones who were permitted to enter Damien’s room.

It turned out Damien was done taking a refreshing bath and was now in his night robe. He was sitting at his reading table that was located at the balcony, outside his room. It was what one can call, peaceful scenery, with the moon shining brightly and the stars decorating the beautiful night sky. The calmness and quietness was accompanied by a cold, calm and chilly wind.
