DEADLY BLUNDER
“7pm sharp?” she asked.
I nodded.
“Good job Siren, I knew I could count on you,”
“So, what are going to do now?” I asked.
“Burn down the men’s world,” staring at the dark sky, covered with stars. “What else could I possibly do?”
“Let me help you,” I insisted.
“You’ve helped me enough, now it’s my time to fulfill my end of the burden,”
I stared at her mesmerized. How could she be so confident, when she was just a single person?
“Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine,” she said puffing out smoke from her lips.
“What are you to Rosie?” my mouth blabbed.
She shifted her face toward me.
“What?”
“How do you know Rosie?” I asked.
Her eyes widen. “What did you do to her?”
I noticed her body stiffen. What was she hiding from me? She slowly reached in her jacket’s pocket.

THREE MONTHS LATEROPENING SEASONThe view of the white curtains swaying with the wind caught the attention of my barely opened eyes. RECONCILIATIONHendrik stood before me with Mesmick’s head on his hands. A loud laughter escaped his lips which sounded identical to Ten’s.“NO!” I yelled running toward him.Walls started closing in on us, until I could no longer see him. I rapidly peeled my eyes open gasping for air. I ran my eyes around the empty neat room. It had been a bad dream. My eye suddenly caught the sight of the few pictures hung on the broken dresser.Each picture reviving the memory of that moment. That is when I remembered that I had lost the picture with the four of us. To be honest I had thrown it after I had moved to the 36 street. It had suddenly caused me pain instead of comforting me.I moved my leg off the bed, pulled my crutches. I needed to go, I needed to find Kalo and Eight. UNSETTLED FEELINGSI stared at the tap before me as my mother unwrapped the bandages around my chest.
