~~Selene~~I freeze, the bottle halfway to my lips as Rain’s word hangs in the air. A bitter laugh rips past my throat. Downing the contents of the bottle, I toss it into a trash can and head for the door. “I’ll pretend you never said that.”“No, you won’t,” he drawls. A vein ticks in his jaw. His hands clenched at his sides, like he’s barely holding himself back. “Call your best friend and tell her that you’ve changed your mind.
