Ava was wrapping up her day when she got a visitor. She of course was not expecting anyone and was only planning on going home but when she saw who the person was she decided that maybe they would be worth her time. It wasn't every day when someone clearly against her would come to her like this. And come alone at that.
"What are you doing here Ms. Owen, we are not scheduled for anything today," Ava said in surprise when she saw that it was Klaire at her door.
Klaire looked somber. That was positive, as Ava thought the only time Klaire would visit her alone was if she had ill intent.
She stepped into the room and closed the door. "I wanted to talk to you. You know, about her last session together."
Had she finally come to see that Ava was not the enemy here? When they talked about her family in the past it seemed like a very vulnerable topic for her. She could be here for that or maybe she had a problem with Casey. There was something she mentioned in
It took Ava only a couple of seconds to realize what happened. Klaire took it. That was why she told her to leave it behind. To get Ava's eyes off of it before she swiped it. She probably wanted to know what Casey said in their private session.Once the realization fully set in Ava's chest tightened. Not only did that have the notes on her and Casey but of her other clients as well. Frantically she pulled out her phone and called the police, her hands shaking as she did."911, what's your emergency?" a masculine voice came through the phone."My name is Ava Maddison, I'm a therapist and I just had a client with me in my office. After they left I noticed my notepad was missing. The notepad contains confidential information about my other clients as well... I need to get it back. I need
The wait was slowly driving her crazy. After she hung up the phone, she had to go back in front of the gate and wait for something to happen. After a couple of minutes, a car pulled up by them. By this time there was a large group of people watching from the other side of the road and of course, the paparazzi were taking more than enough pictured to fuel the internet for weeks.Out of the car came Casey, he looked frantic and when he came up to Ava she could see sweat on his neck."Klaire is inside, I called her and she only told me that she was home. She did not sound like she knew what was going on out here," he told the group."We even used the loudspeaker to try and get someone out here but there was nothing. Are you sure?" the female officer asked.
"Well, why don't you stop acting like that! You're supposed to help me!" Klaire exclaimed. This was already a very big scene. With everything unfolding outside of their house it would defiantly make life harder for all of them. Casey knew that entertaining this argument with Klaire was sure to basically lead to nowhere but he was so embarrassed and tired that he could not help but take his frustrations out at her. And it was for good reason since she was the one who was at fault here and was not seeing anything wrong with her actions."Well, why would I when you don't act like it either. You have so little trust in me that you go and steal a book just to know how I feel. When you can surely just ask me!" Casey fired back."Why would you tell me anything. You never tell me anything!"
The throbbing in his head was not making anything better and no matter how gently he massaged his temples it didn't let up. He knew this but he still continued to scroll on his phone, trying to absorb everything he saw on screen. For the past hour, he had been scrolling through social media. The news of everything that happened outside his house had blown up and barely gave him time to breathe as someone would post their opinion every second. It had been two weeks since the incident and Casey had done as much as he could to keep it from spreading but the internet was too fast, even for his money. Celebrity newsrooms and fan accounts would relentlessly share their thoughts on the entire situation. As expected, the public got wind of everything that happened and once again Klaire was public enemy number one. A lot of people were calling Ava an angel for dropping the charges against Klaire
Ava frowned as she ate the last of the fruit basket. It was filled with some of the most delicious fruits: the juiciest grapes, strawberries, and mangoes. It was truly something she would definitely go and buy for herself in the future. Ava wanted to buy one now but she was leaving the country in a few hours and surely could not finish it in that amount of time. As she sat on her couch looking at her suitcases Ava wondered if what she was doing was a good idea. It most definitely was not but she still wanted to try. She wanted to see if she could get those two to be happy together. This was the most trouble she has had with a couple and because of that, the desire to succeed was great. After the entire situation with the notepad, Ava had extra sessions with Klaire, she was desperate to pick her brain and see how she thought. It was th
When Ava got to the resort, she was surprised at the number of people who were there. It was obvious that most of the people there were Klaire’s friends. She could hear them screeching and shouting from the moment she walked into the resort. As soon as she knew what the scene looked like, she instantly wanted to turn back. Ava was not a party person, but she should have expected this sort of thing when it came to Klaire. She’s definitely the type of person to try and invite every single important person she knows to show them that she’s getting married to Casey.Since the place was reserved for them only, she was able to grasp the full amount of people that would be attending. It honestly looked like the hotel had not been cleared out because of all the people there. But it was ten times louder than a normal hotel and so it was obvious that there was something happening. It seemed like a lot of her friends had plenty of time on their hand
The next day, all the extraneous activities that Klaire wanted to do started. Casey would have preferred if he could stay in the hotel but since he was the fiance, he was going to be dragged into everything that she wanted to do. It seemed like Ava was also not a fan of the things they were doing and decided to stay in her room. He envied her. Even though they were in a fancy resort with all the things that were needed for a vacation, Klaire still insisted on leaving. Casey understood that there were interesting activities that the resort did not provide, but still, going zip-lining was not something he would want to do right away. He was not even fully recovered from the jet lag. It also bothered him that it seemed like Klaire invited everyone on her contact list. The amount of noise that he was going to have to deal with was not something he was prepared to deal with. Just in the first couple of hours when everyone started to pour in,
When the group had returned, Casey had long returned to his room, he was not sure if Ava was still down by the pool but he would have guessed that she returned to her room once the place began to get noisy again. They did not talk for too long and when Casey had gone back up, he had fallen asleep pretty easily. It was only when Klaire woke him up, that he became aware of everything going on.“Are you feeling more rested now?” Klaire asked him, as she was laid on the other side of the bed.Casey groaned in response and Klaire smiled at him. “We went down to the beach and ate a lot of food. There are so many tourists here so it took a while to do the things we wanted. When it’s just the two of us, I want us to take a boat trip somewhere, obviously nowhere too far but still.”Casey smiled. “Sure, that doesn’t sound too bad.”“Do you want to go down and get
