Zander was about to kiss me again when we felt something flying towards us. We ducked to avoid whatever it was.

However, the thing didn't come close enough to hit us.

My eyes widened when that something turned out to be a gun. Then at that moment, we saw Lucas and Derek walking to us.

They had a few bruises on their faces and their hands were covered in blood.

“You both were here kissing and cuddling up when Lucas and I were fighting tirelessly?” Derek scoffed in disbelief and facepalmed.

“Alpha, we have successfully eliminated all the men he came with. We are sorry we couldn't come to rescue, the moment we wanted to, his men intercepted us,” Lucas explained calmly while trying to catch his breath.

“Thank you,” Zander nodded.

“We will continue from where we stopped later,” He whispered into my ears, making me blush before we stood up.
