A Day in Amreet's House…

The next morning when she woke up, everything was new for her. New room, new people around, new environment, and new talks. Something that was not with her was her daddy’s routine of listening to television in full volume, her mumma’s shouting to get up early in the morning and have breakfast, her brother’s tease, and lots more. Seems, she was missing all of these. 

But, she got blenched when she heared her mother-in-law shouting on her bhabhi for not taking pallu on her head. Not only her mother-in-law, but, even younger sister of Amreet was also involved in back biting. She has never undergone these kind of situateion, so she got bit nervous.

She freshened up herself and got ready as a new bride. Neighbours were continuously coming to look at her as if she was something like an antique piece. Anyways, a new bride is always an antique piece for every new person. So, she had no choice but to greet each and everyone with a smiling face.

Hope many of you have experienced those ladies when they come to see a new bride and makes them uncomfortable. The same happened to Anjana.

Lady in Neighbourhood: Where is Bahu?

Mother-in-law: She is in her room. Go and see her.

Anjana can hear the voice of her mother-in-law. So, she prepared herself to meet the lady. Took pallu on her head and sat quietly.

The door opened; someone was peeping from the curtain. Anjana could see her and with her smiling face, she greeted her and welcomed her in the room and to sit beside her.

Now, imagine how you feel when there is no topic for conversation and someone keeps starring at you continuously. The same happened with Anjana.

This lady was looking at her. Sometimes, her face, and sometimes her dress. May be some chemical turmoil was going on in her mind. Anjana with her eyes down can see all these and was feeling very uncomfortable. She was wishing for someone to call this lady outside, as the aura of the room was very tensed.

Finally, she managed to get rid of her. Same day evening, some of Amreet’s friends visited his house. Amreet called Anjana to joined them. And the evening was spent with lots of giggling. Overall, the day was very tiring for her.

The only reason why people were so eagerly visiting the place was that the couple had already planned an outing on the third day after marriage. And the trip was for more than a week. Well, now Anjana has to pack her luggage as they have to leave for a trip the next day. She was very excited as this was the first time, she was visiting with her hubby.
