Chapter 4

"Yes! I saw it. I told you."

Sashi just got home when Clark told her about some information he gathered.

"What should we do? Tell them that there are some bullets behind his car?" Sashi asked.

"But what if they will ask me if how did I found that things out?" She asked again, confused.

Sashi's also persistent to see Clark's car because of what the ghost Clark told her.

"Who the hell would try to kill you Clark?"

Now this is confusing her even more.

"I think we should investigate first." The ghost Clark suggested.

"Yeah, we really need to get that footage badly. After that if we noticed something, we will look for the car again. What else did you saw?" Sashi asked.

"I was looking at the house and checking some old photos of mine, which is more of them is a picture of us together. I accidentally entered the garage and I found my car there and I identified it cause I saw it from my pictures.  I saw some bullets behind it." He explained with a furrowed brows.

"Now, I'm confused because why the police didn't even noticed it in the investigation, that was so easy to find. Of course my family seems so oblivious and didn't have the idea that someone tried to shoot me." He added.

Sashi nodded about the thought. He's right. Then another thing is, Police officers surely saw the CCTV footages already, if there's something wrong in there they should informed the family, but Clark's family didn't received any news or updates because all of them are so focused about Clark's recovery.

"You know what, this is so crazy!" She exclaimed while trying to massage the bridge of her  nose.

She quickly grabbed her purse. Clark followed her immediately.

"Where are we going?" He asked as he followed Sashi down the stairs.

"Where are you going, Sashi."

Sashi stopped from walking when she saw her Mom in the table, reading some books.

"I will be quick, Mom. I need to hurry. Don't wait for me for the dinner." She said before slamming the door.

It's already 6 o'clock in the evening. She grabbed her bike in their garage like she's going to chase something.

The ghost Clark positioned himself in the backseat.

"We need to pursue that department store, Clark. This isn't a joke. Someone's trying to cover everything. There's something wrong about this." Sashi continued driving the bike until they reached the department store.

She parked the bike outside and immediately walk to open the store's door when the ghost Clark call her.

"Hey, for sure they are not going to give it to us. What should we do after this?" He asked and Sashi was taken a back because of what he said.

"Then we will still get it, even if...illegally." She said before pushing the door.

She scanned the place and immediately lifted her gaze in the cashier area.

"Where's the manager on this store?" She asked.

The lady just raised her left brows and scanned Sashi from head to toe.

"Why? Do you need something?" The lady asked her back which made her annoyed.

"Yes, can I talk to her?" She asked again.

She saw how the lady grabbed the telephone in front of her and try to call someone.

After a few minutes of waiting an old man appeared in the door behind the lady she was talking earlier.

"Wait, you're that girl, right? Why are you here again, huh? I told you before that I am not giving my footages!" The old man shouted.

The other customers are now looking towards direction and they are already catching some attentions.

"How much does it cost, huh? I will pay you!" Sashi said but the old man only laughed mockingly.

"Can you pay me 1000 bucks as well?"

The old man chuckled and about to enter the door again when Sashi laughed sarcastically.

"So, you have been paid for 1000 bucks for the footages, huh? Who and why? Is there something wrong inside the footage that someone will pay you, so desperate?"

The old man's eyes widened because of what she said.

Sashi smirked because she knows that she hit something behind this old ugly man in front of her.

"Yes, of course. It also happened before! This is not the first accident happened in f-front of m-my store! And why am I explaining to you, little brat!" He exclaimed that made Sashi laughed even more.

"Why stuttering, huh? Trying to hide something?" She laughed mockingly.

"You know what, leave! Leave, before I call some police." He threatened but Sashi remained her playful smile before finally turning his back to exit the store.

She swallowed the lump on her throat.

There's something wrong about everything. There is really something wrong.

"What happened?" The ghost Clark ask when he saw her.

"You're right. There's something wrong about the accident. This is insane!" She said, mad.

"What if you're not here. What will happen to Clark? Nobody can find this out. There is someone behind these things." She added while thinking some ideas to do.

"We need to get their footages no matter what. We will make some plans." Sashi said with a determined voice before driving the bike.

"We will enter that apartment."

It's just 6 o'clock in the morning when Sashi told Clark about her plan.

"Then?" The ghost Clark asked.

"There's a window beside that apartment, it looks like it's parallel from the window of that department store. It can be our way to enter that effing store"

Clark's eyes widened because of Sashi's idea.

"Are you out of your mind? That's illegal..and dangerous." He said with a shocked voice.

"Yeah I know, and we are also doing this because there's something illegal that is also happening about your case." Sashi uttered as she tried to hide herself from a trash can in front of her when the department store finally flip their sign as "open".

"You will help me, anyway. You can be my watcher." She added.

The day went well while Sashi's in the school.

It's already 5:00 pm when their practice ended.

"Hey, ugly."

Sashi lifted her gaze to see who's talking. Her brows furrowed when she saw Larah and her squad. What are they doing here?

Sashi raised her brows when she met Larah's intense glare.

"Who's that?"

Sashi glanced to the ghost Clark beside her.

"That's your previous ex-girlfriend." She answered, trying to lower her voice.

"What are you mumbling, huh?" Larah asked her but Sashi continued packing her used towels and shirts because of their practice earlier.

"What do you need, Larah?" She asked lazily which made Larah mad even more.

"Wow, why are you asking if I need something from a bitch like you, huh?" She said sarcastically while her friends are laughing mockingly.

"Oww really? Then why are you here? Are you also a bitch trying to make fun with a bitch like me?" Sashi replied with so much  sarcasm.

She also heard the ghost Clark laughed behind her hardly.

"What did you say? You really is a slut! You didn't even have any regrets that you're the reason why Clark is lying in a bed now! Because you're such an attention seeker!" Larah's voice echoed in the covered court.

Sashi is already pissed. She gritted her teeth before facing Larah again.

"Hmm, I pity you for wasting your time here and shouting on me, shame on you. Do you think you're superior now? No, bitch. You're so pitiful." She said before turning her back from them.

"Deymn, what a scene."

Sashi ignored the ghost Clark and continued walking.

"Don't piss me this time Clark. I'm not in the mood." Sashi said before heaving a sighed.

"Yes, boss."

"We should focus now on the plan. That bitch is blocking my thoughts."

"Okay you will going to shout when there's someone coming, okay? Since I am the only one who can see and hear you, it will never be a problem."

It's been an hour since Sashi and the ghost Clark rented a room in an apartment beside the department store. They are spotting a way so that they can enter the window from that store. The window is in the second floor that's why Sashi is one hundred percent sure that they can probably find the room of the CCTV footages on that floor.

Sashi slowly placed herself because it's only a one wide step to reach the window of that store. She can also see that it is dark inside.

She smiled when she reached the other side and finally trying to open the window silently. When she opened it successfully her eyes widened when she can feel someone's behind her.

"It's just me."

"Clark? Why are you already here?" She asked even if she can't see him because it is so dark.

"God! I'm a ghost, I can enter this store freely. By the way, all of them is outside except ot the manager slash owner because he is sleeping in a couch in front of this room. And also there's a room beside this and it was full of computers. I think that's the room we are finding."

"You know what, I wanna hug you right now! You're so useful with this task, huh? This is so dangerous but because of you it could be so easy for us. This is your idea, after all." She whispered, scared that someone might hear her.

"Damn, you're so brave." The ghost Clark uttered in disbelief.

"Okay, you need to watch that fucking old man. If he moved, shout, so that I can be aware if I will going to open the door. It's not a problem, anyways because no one can hear you except me."

The ghost Clark followed what she said.

After a few minutes, Sashi received a shout outside.

"He's still sleeping. All of the workers is downstairs. It's all clear."

Sashi smiled. This is so dangerous but she need to do this. She knows that she's beeing shallow for doing these things right now without any valid proof but it's the feeling of being so curious about it, it's her speculation.

She slowly open the door and the light from outside immediately hit her face.

"That's the door."

The ghost Clark pointed the room beside the room where Sashi came from.

Sashi want to jump so bad when she realized that the room is unlocked and she doesn't need any key anymore.

"You can enter that freely, all of them is downstairs." The ghost Clark said before giving her a sign to enter it.

Sashi is wearing a black jacket and a black leggings that she also wore earlier from the practice.

She opened the door freely. The room is full of computers and it amazed her.

"Sashi, you also need to delete all their files after getting the record of that day because they might see you entering this building."

Sashi nodded because of Clark's reminder. He is so handful.

The room's lights are opened so she can also see herself in the monitor. She can also see the other workers downstairs and the every part of the building, even the old man is in the footage.

"Okay, click that one, I think that's the camera outside. Can you still remember the date of the accident?"

Sashi nodded and grabbed the mouse carefully and safely because she's wearing a glove.

"I think I should just get the USB, I'm sure they already saved the files there." Sashi nodded as she unplugged the USB.

"Also the USB of that computer, I'm sure it also recorded you when you entered the room earlier and also this room."

Sashi unplugged it too quickly before checking it once again.

She's nervous now because finally she can find out verything now.

"Shut all the CCTV down, so that it won't record anymore."

The ghost Clark is checking the door from time to time to make sure that they're safe.

Sashi's heart is pounding when they heard some footsteps. She swallowed the lump on her throat before trying to hide herself behind the door.

"Karen! Where did you put my phone?"

They both heard the voice and it seems like the person is walking downstairs now. Sashi heaved a sighed and slowly opened the door.

"He's downstairs now, we're safe."
