Chapter 2

Sashi knows how cruel the world is. That's why she stayed contented on her life even if she can't have all of her happiness.

She cried too, but it doesn't mean that she's weak.

She sobbed as she stared at Clark's body.

There's a lot of blood in it. Bruises and wounds.

She can't breathe as she cried because it's her life, Clark is her life.

The nurses immediately bring him in The Emergency room. Sashi clasp her hands as she watch the nurse entered the room while bringing Clark in there.

She cried even more. She also saw Clark's mother crying, his ten year old brother and Father.

She wants to comfort them but she can't even stop her own tears from flowing

"What happened? W-hat happened? M-my son, honey. Our son."

Sashi lifted her gaze to Adam, Clark's brother. She walked beside him but he only pushes her.

"Clark said he will going to see you, he said you're mad at him. What happened?" Adam's voice are cold as an ice.

Sashi stiffened when she realized what happened.

Is it her fault? Yes, she want to avoid Clark but she doesn't want this to happen. But still she feels like it's her fault. If Clark didn't think that she's mad, he will probably just stay at home but she ignored her just to protect herself from falling again.

"Have you two talk before the accident?" Adam asked her again.

Sashi shaked her head while tears are flowing from her eyes.

"I didn't talked to him. I'm not mad at him, I was just trying to-" avoid him, Sashi didn't continue because she thinks it's not appropriate to bring her feelings here up.

Adam nodded but Sashi's eyes widened when Clark's mother, Grace, grabbed her hand and pulled it.

"What did you do to my son?" Her voice is like a thunder when it echoed in the hallway of the hospital.

Sashi shake her head again and again.

Clark's mother continued crying while covering her face using her palms with her poor husband comforting her, trying to be brave even if he also looks so scared.

They waited there for almost two hours when the doctor came out. The doctor looks terrible. It seems like he's going to deliver a bad news.

Clark's friends already there too asking Sashi about what happened but all she can do is shake her head and cried.

"We found blood clots on your son's head. We are still figuring it out, if he will not wake up for 5 days, we will consider the patient as a comatose patient."

The place covered with cries and sobbed. The doctor also allowed them to see the patient but they need to wear gowns as the doctor instruct them.

"Sorry, sorry.." Sashi couldn't find any words to say. It feels like the situation's choking her. She can't breath because she can feel the guilt creeping on her.

Carlo, and Ben, Clark's friends tried to stop her from crying but she can't help it.

The next day become worser than she expects. Every night she was crying because everyone's blaming her about Clark's accident.

It's weekend now that's why she volunteered to be Clark's watcher for two days. Maybe it can be a way to lessen the guilt she is feeling.

She bring some fruits and and Clark's favorite food even if he can't eat with her. Yesterday, Larah came in the hospital to see Clark and all she can do is to act the things she need to act.

Now that it's her chance to be with him, alone, but unluckily, he's asleep. He can't feel her. He can't talk back whenever they are fighting about their favorite Basketball team. He can't pinch her cheeks whenever she's annoyed with him.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Her heart is throbbing, she can't still accept it.

"I'm sorry. I just want to avoid you. I'm not mad. I love you , Clark. Please wake up." She cried even more as she caressed Clark's face.

"Who are you?"

Sashi's eyes immediately scanned the room when she heard someone talking. But she's alone here.

She swallowed hard when realizes that nobody is around. Her brows furrowed about the idea that what if someone's trying to make fun of her.

"Who are you?"

She stiffened, it feels like all of her nerves stop. Her breathing also stop as she lifted her gaze into someone who is staring at her directly.

She swallowed hard again when she realized who it is. It can't be. She stared at Clark's body who's still lying in the bed before lifting her eyes again from the guy who's asking her earlier.

It's the guy who's making her feel butterflies in her life for how many years. It's the guy who protected her whenever kids are bullying her.

It's the guy who always make her fluttered. The guy who hurt her without knowing it.

"Clark?" She muttered while tears are flowing from her eyes.

Is she dreaming?

"I said who are you? It's my body. I am Clark, right?" He asked as he stand from the other side of the bed.

Sashi slowly lifted her hands to touch... Clark.

"H-how?"

She can't touch him. She can't.

"I'm a Ghost now. I don't know what happened." Clark said while staring at her.

"I'm a soul now, and the angel said to me that I should wait here. I should with until I wake up." He added but Sashi's still suppressing her lips.

"What the hell is happening?" She asked as she tightened her grip from the blanket that covering Clark's poor body.

"I can't remember anything until I saw my body here- w-wait. Can you see me?'' The ghost Clark asked.

Sashi don't know if it's really a....ghost.

Yes, a ghost. But he seems like real.

Sashi tried to reach him.

"Please, wake me up." She said as Clark stared at her.

"You really can see me." He said like it is really an imposible thing to happen.

"Can you help me?" He added as he walked near to Sashi.

Sashi immediately step back from him.

"Don't go near me!" She said in a mad tone.

"Please help me. I can't remember anything. I want to live more. My angel said I need to solve my case." Clark pleaded while trying to reach Sashi but she keep on stepping backwards.

"What case? I can't understand you. Maybe- Argh! I really need to wake up from this nightmare!" She shouted while closing her eyes but when she opened it again Clark's ghost's still there.

"Case, I mean the suspect of my case." Clark said as if Sashi will going to listen to him.

"What? There's no such thing as 'suspect' on Clark's incident! It's an accident!" She exclaimed but Clark immediately shake his head.

"No, my angel said someone tried to kill me." He explained but Sashi's brows furrowed.

"Fuck Angels! What the hell are you saying? Are you really Clark, huh?" She shouted.

Sashi's attention lifted in the door when someone opened it. A petite nurse open the door halfly.

"Miss, can you lower your voice. You will disturb the other patient." The nurse said and about to close the door again when Sashi ask her.

"Can I ask?" Sashi asked but the nurse raised her brows.

"What it is?"

"Am I alone in this room? I mean, can you see him?" She asked as she pointed the Ghost Clark beside her.

"What?" The nurse forehead furrowed when she scanned the room before shaking her head as a disappointment. She mockingly laughed before finally closing the door.

"She can't see me. You're the only one who can see me!" He said in an unbelievable tone.

"Wahh! What's happening in this world?" Sashi said while holding her head.

"You really need to help me."

"Clark, Clark! Please wake up." She shake Clark's body, ignoring the Ghost Clark.

"Someone tried to kill me. You need to help me, or else that Clark you are holding won't wake up anymore."

Sashi immediately lifted her gaze to face the Ghost Clark. It feels like he triggered her. She glared at him.

"He will wake up!" She exclaimed.

"Yes if you will help me." The ghost Clark insisted.

"By the way are you my girlfriend?" He asked again while Sashi's still staring at him.

She didn't answer the ghost when she realized that it's really him. He scanned the ghost. From head to toe. It's really him. But what's happening? This is really impossible!

"If you're my girlfriend, sure I have a good taste." The ghost Clark said while smirking.

Sashi's cheeks turned red as she tried to looked away.

"So, are you my girlfriend?" He asked again.

She shaked her head before standing up from sitting in the chair near Clark's bed.

"No, I am your best friend." She answered bravely. The ghost Clark raised his brows.

"Really? B-but how? I mean, you're saying I love you to me earlier." He muttered.

"What? I said 'I love you' for Clark, not for you. And y-yes, we used to say I love you to each other. Of course you don't know about that." She almost stutter but she manage to make herself straight.

"Really? But I am Clark. That's my body. The thing is, I can't remember anything. So you need to help me to wake my body up again."

"What kind of help? As what I have said, nobody wants to kill my Clark! He's a good guy." Sashi exclaimed but the ghost Clark only gave her a smirked.

"My Clark, huh? Are you sure you're not my girlfriend." He asked but she only rolled her eyes.

"Of course! But you're a pretty little womanizer. You have a lot of ex girlfriends." Sashi utter with her usual bitter tone whenever talking about Clark's love life.

"So this means you believe on me now?" He asked, out of context.

"No, maybe I'm just d-dreaming." She answered, stuttering.

The ghost Clark laughed mockingly.

"Are you dumb or something?" He asked make Sashi's eyes widened.

"You're not really Clark. He will never call me dumb! You piece of shit!" She exclaimed before grabbing something to hit the ghost Clark but she can't. The pillow she picked only passed through him.

"I'm a ghost, you can't hit me." He said proudly.

"You're not just a ghost! You're a wraith! You evil!" She shouted but the ghost Clark disappeared in front of her.

Her eyes widened when someone blew her hair. She realized that the ghost Clark already behind her.

"You don't have a choice. I will persue you until you believe in me."

After that breathtaking scene the ghost didn't appear again on that day. Even if she's so pre-occupied about it she managed to clean the room and take care of Clark.

It's already 7:30 in the evening when Sashi woke up from a deep sleep. After it she realized that she had a bad dream.

A few moments later someone knocked at the door. When she opened it she saw Adam with Carlo and Ben. It's their turn now to watch the patient. She's glad that Clark have a lot of friends and love ones to take care of him.

She remember her dream earlier as she finds some taxi to go home.

Maybe she's so worried that she's already hallucinating about Clark being awake.

She tried to close her eyes to forget her problems for a while.

She need to bring her assignments in the hospital for the next day so that she can still watch Clark. She also need to finish some assignments when she get home later.

It's already eight in the evening when the taxi stopped her in their village.

The stars are so bright. It's giving her some memories. She can't help but to reminisce the nights with Clark she had in her life. When they used to sleep in the rooftop when they are still young just to do some star gazing. She smiled as she continued from walking.

She can already see the street lights in the village. She heaved a sigh when she heard some foot steps behind her.

She tried to make her moves faster when someone suddenly appears in front of her.

"Wahhhhhh!" She screamed before covering her face using her palms. It's so shocking that she can't even move.

"Tsk, it's just me." The familiar voice said.

She slowly put her hands down but her eyes widened more when she realized who it is.

"C-Clark?" She uttered.

"Yeah, the ghost Clark." He said lazily.

"So it means I am not dreaming earlier?" She asked, still shocked.

"Yup, and you still need to help me." He nodded like he's very pleased about what's happening.

Sashi can't help from staring. It is really him. The eyes, the nose, his feature. It's really him. But she's still confused. He's a ghost? A freaking ghost!

She continued walking without saying anything, expecting that he will disappear again because she's still hoping that she's just dreaming.

"Hey, you really need to help me before it's too late. The angel said that if I can't go back to my body within this year, I can't go back anymore." He pleaded as he followed Sashi.

Sashi stopped because of what he said.

"What do you mean by 'too late'? And what's with that angel thingy? Are you really fucking insane?" She said angrily because she's losing her patience now.

The ghost Clark stopped from walking and stared at her.

"What if I am telling the truth, huh? What if I won't wake up anymore. Because you never tried? You never help me? Huh? What will you do?" His voice is so serious that she almost believe him.

She swallowed hard. She love Clark so much and there's a guy in front of her that really looks like him and worst his telling her that he is a ghost. What the-

She remained silent.

"Just try it. Just help me. You're the only one who can see me. I tried to talk with those people in the hospital but they can't see me. Only you. If you're really my friend you will help me. I can feel it. I really can feel it..that you have a special space in me, even if I can't feel my body. I want to go back. If only I can remember everything, If only I can tell you that I really owned that body."

Sashi's brows furrowed when her tears can't stop from flowing. What if he's telling the truth? What if Clark will never wake up again because of her fear from trying and believing this ghost Clark in front of her.

"Please." He said as he try to step near Sashi.

Sashi slowly nodded.

"Okay, I will try helping you. I'm still confused but I can't say no to you since you really looked like him" She said while wiping her tears.

"Of course, because I am him." He said while pouting.

"I hope you're not one of those evil ghosts out there. I can't believe this, I am talking with someone called as ghost." She said hesitantly.

"You need to tell me everything about me and even about yourself or how close we are. Then also the last thing we need to solve is my case."

"Is someone really tried to kill you? But the police said, it's an accident." Sashi said when she continued from walking.

The ghost Clark immediately followed her.

"I don't know too, that's what the angel said to me. That's why you need to help me." He answered but Sashi remained silent.

"When I woke up, I am lying in a place full of dried leaves. There are also big trees and it's all so creepy." He explained that's why Sashi listen to her silently.

"I can't remember anything. But when an old guy appeared he explained to me that I need to go back here. That's the only thing I can remember, I just woke up in a house. But no one could see me." He added but Sashi remained silent.

"I still can't believe it. Ghost aren't real." Sashi said before opening their gate when finally she got home.

"Is this your house?" He asked.

"Yeah." She answered lazily.

"This is where I woke up. Yeah, this is the place where I woke up." He said but Sashi's brows furrowed.

"What? I mean, I thought you woke up on your house or something." She said when her mother appeared in the door.

"Sash? Who are you talking?" Her mother asked but she gave a glance to the ghost Clark first.

"Nothing mom."

She entered the house before giving her mother a kiss.

"How's Clark?"

"She's still not waking up, Mom." She answered sadly.

She even saw the ghost Clark appears on their sofa. Her mother couldn't see him.

"If I know that it will happen, I didn't allowed him to go without talking to you."

She ignored her mothers rant in the sala and immediately go upstairs. She's been telling her that since after the accident.

She heaved a sigh when the ghost Clark followed him.

"That's your mom?" He asked.

"Yeah,"

"You two really look the same." He added but Sashi just rolled her eyes.

"Yes, of course she's my mother. You know what I didn't think that you will be like this if your a ghost. I really can't believe it." Sashi said as she opened the door of her room.

"Tsk, just tell me about my life and help me go back to my body."

She sighed before facing the ghost.

"Yes, I want to wake my best friend up again."
