Chapter 5

The whole room is covered by darkness.

It's suffocating her but behind this darkness, she knows that there's hope that coming. The hope of having Clark being awake again.

"But you paid for one week already?"

The landlady ask Sashi after she forbid her goodbye.

"My Mom called me and there's an emergency, I need to go home, Miss." She explained and the landlady nodded to her.

They successfully got the CCTV footage from the department store. They are very thankful that nobody caught them.

"Don't you think the landlady didn't speculate us because you only stayed there for just more than an hour?" The ghost Clark ask her but she only grabbed her bag and continued walking.

"We can't stay there, Clark. We only rented the room near the window of that department store so that we can enter it. What if someone will recognized me if I'll stay longer?"

Sashi decided to go home first because it's already seven o'clock in the evening.

When she got home her Mom immediately greeted her with her worried voice.

"These days I noticed that you always go home so late, Sashi. It's not good for you to always stay late outside." Her mom is scolding her.

Even if she already wanted to go upstairs and check the footages, she can't because her Mom is not in the mood right now.

"Just tell her about what happened. You two are close. Maybe she can help us."

Sashi lifted her eyes to the ghost Clark who is sitting in front of her. She is eating in the table while listening to her mother's litany.

She shake her head because of what Clark said.

"If you still want me to help you, we shouldn't tell her. She will never going to allow me doing things like what I did earlier." She lower her voice so that her mother wouldn't hear her but it seems like her Mom, Sylvia, is so done with her.

"What are you mumbling, huh? Hays, you're getting so stubborn day by day."

After eating the dinner with her mother's rants as a side dish, Sashi immediately go upstairs. She's so eager to know everything about what happened to her best friend Clark.

Sashi opened her laptop quickly. She plugged the first USB that they've got.

The ghost Clark is right behind her, also waiting and hoping for evidences that they can possibly gather inside this files.

"Find the footages from that day. Can you still remember it?" The ghost Clark ask.

She nodded as she scroll down using the mouse.

"Here," Sashi uttered with so much excitement because she already want to know everything. She want Clark to wake up again.

The ghost Clark behind her was so attentive. He is also waiting patiently as Sashi started to play the video when she clicked the play button.

There are a lot of vehicles passing from the video but it's not really showing the whole street because it was only focused about the department store's surroundings. They forwarded the video until the time when Clark's accident happened.

Sashi clasp her palms as they watched the video. She is shaking because of nervousness. After a few minutes a white Mercedes Benz bump into an electric post in front of the department store.

It was so quick but it's not so detailed unlike what Sashi expected. They can't see what happened before he bumped because the footage only captured that specific part in front of the store.

"What should we do now? It doesn't show the whole part of the street and we can't identify what happened before you bumped."

Sashi is now anxious because she was expecting this to be so effective after getting the footages but it doesn't show a lot.

"But I have seen the camera outside their store. Base of it's position, I think the whole part of the street could be included but this video is different." The ghost Clark concluded that made Sashi confused even more.

"Is it posible that they have two cameras there?" Sashi said while scratching the back of her head because of confusion.

They both don't know what to do now. The CCTV is the only choice that they have but they also failed.

"What if we tried to get the footage from the Police station?"

Sashi laughed mockingly because of what Clark said.

"Nice idea because after we got  the CCTV footage, I couldn't watch it anymore coz they might shoot me already." She said sarcastically.

"What if we ask your mother to get that CCTV footages, huh? Because it's her son's case, after all. She can ask the police officer anytime."

Sashi's face brightened because of her own idea. But actually she doesn't know how to start. If they will ask for help from Clark's mother she still need to explain about the case and they will ask her more questions. But the only thing that she have is the ghost Clark who is telling her to solve the case without any proof. She can't tell them that a ghost told her to do those things. Nobody will believe her.

The next day, Sashi still feel bad about her efforts from getting that CCTV footages but only got nothing.

"We still have more time, don't worry and smile."

Sashi pouted as she watched the ghost Clark beside her. She's having some snacks right now and chose to sit under the wide shadow of a Mango tree in front of their section's building.

"What if I didn't met you and doesn't know about what happened to you? Actually still, I'm not sure about what we are doing."

Sashi heaved a sighed.

"As what I have said, we still have a time. I don't want to stress you out. Let's loosen up first." The Ghost Clark.

Sashi, somehow felt relieved about what he said. She's worrying too much. She believes that they can over come this.

"You know what, why don't you share some stories instead? About your life."

Sashi's brows furrowed as she stared to the ghost Clark.

"My life is not awake yet."
