Chapter Eighteen: Monster in the Woods

Silas paces back and forth in the forest, his mind racing with conflicting thoughts and emotions. He was just few kilometers away from the dungeon after his visit to Alex.

But now, after what Alex had told him, he didn’t know if he should believe him or not. If Alex had truly told him the truth concerning his involvement in placing the curse on him; who else would have put the curse on him if not his father?

As Silas processes this new information, he feels a range of conflicting emotions. Part of him wants to deny it, to cling to the hope that his father could never have done something so terrible. But another part of him feels a deep sense of betrayal, as if everything he thought he knew about his father has been a lie.

Silas is torn between these two emotions, unsure of what to do next. He wants to confront the Alpha, his father, to demand answers and make sense of what he's just learned. Should he try to find out more information on his own? Or should he just try to ignore it a
