Chapter Seven: The Encounter

Silas woke up in the infirmary, his senses slowly coming back to him. His vision was blurry at first, but as it cleared, he saw Sara, the princess, sitting next to him. Relief washed over her face as she saw that he was awake.

Silas tried to sit up, but a wave of pain hit him hard, causing him to wince. He looked down at his chest and saw bandages wrapped tightly around his torso. Memories of the attack flooded his mind, and he grimaced at the thought of how close he had come to death.

"How long have I been here?" Silas asked Sara, his voice hoarse.

"Three days," she replied softly, placing a hand on his arm. "You were lucky to survive, Silas. If not for your magical abilities and your strong werewolf genes, you would have been dead instantly."

Silas nodded, his mind still reeling from the attack. He tried to remember what had happened, but it was all a blur. Sara seemed to sense his unease and leaned in closer to him.
