Chapter Eight: Hello Brother

Silas walked down the dark alley, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. He had been in this part of town before, and he knew it was dangerous. But he had to find information, and he couldn't afford to be scared.

As he walked, he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around, but he saw no one. He quickened his pace, and the footsteps quickened too. He unsheathed his sword and turned around, ready to fight.

A figure stepped out of the shadows, holding a knife. Silas recognized him as the same man who had tried to kill him the other day. Silas raised his sword, ready to defend himself.

But then the man spoke. "Wait," he said. "I don't want to fight. I need to talk to you."

Silas lowered his sword, but he kept it in his hand. "Talk then," he said. "But make it quick."

The man hesitated, as if trying to find the right words. "My name is Saul," he said finally. "And I think you need to know something."

Silas raised an eyebrow. "What could you possibly know that I don't?"
