Chapter 1

A thunderous boom split the sky. Lightning roared, and dozens of enchanted silver chains tore through the storm clouds straight toward me.

They struck all at once, and my skin split open. As the force sent me plummeting, I saw my husband, Damian Blackwood, standing beyond the storm clouds, staring down at me with cold, brutal malice as I sank.

“With the blood of the Silvermoon, may Damian Blackwood be cursed with eternal damnation!”

With the last of my strength, I whispered the spell, and as I watched, Damian’s wolf form cracked under the curse. His body collapsed, and he fell into Moonshine Lake alongside me.

“Elara. Elara, quit spacing out.”

Someone nudged me. I slowly opened my eyes and saw my father. However… wasn’t I just killed? Didn’t those silver chains pierce straight through my heart?

I blinked hard, looking around, trying to shake off the impossible vision, but everything felt too terrifyingly real. I had been brought back to life and sent back in time. Most importantly, I was back on the very day Damian was supposed to choose his mate during the bonding ceremony.

“Damian,” my father, the Alpha of the Silvermoon Pack, said, “I have two daughters. Which one will you choose?”

I met Damian’s gaze. I remembered how, in my last life, he had looked at me with tenderness and had gifted me the Blackwood token—a wolf fang—without hesitation. Yet now, all I saw in his eyes was disgust.

“Chloe, my youngest daughter, may only be a Beta Gray Werewolf by blood,” Father continued, stroking his beard, “but she has a loyal heart and a gentle nature. She’s admired you for a long time. If you would return her feelings, I would gladly give my blessing.”

Chloe stood beside him, sneaking shy glances at Damian.

The mate-selection of a Golden Lycan was a major event in the Alliance—one that determined bloodline inheritance and required the Alliance council elders to witness it. Everyone knew the unspoken truth: as a high-ranking Silvermoon Alpha, I was the one Damian should choose. Instead, Damian took the wolf-fang token of the Blackwood family and placed it into my sister Chloe’s hands.

The entire hall gasped. Even Chloe stared at him in disbelief. However, it was at that moment that I knew my husband from the previous life had also been brought back to life and sent back in time.

In the last life, everything had unfolded as expected. Damian had chosen me, and Chloe had used Father’s connections to marry into another high-ranking Silvermoon Alpha family.

Damian cherished me at first as our marriage was praised across the Alliance. That was until I gave birth to a child with the bloodline of a low-rank Omega Black Werewolf. From then on, everything shattered.

A mighty Golden Lycan producing an Omega? The whole Alliance mocked him, whispering that his bloodline wasn’t pure. Meanwhile, Chloe gave birth to a pup with pure golden fur, and suddenly her home was overflowing with admirers praising her husband’s powerful bloodline.

Humiliated, Damian turned vicious. He berated me constantly, furious that he hadn’t chosen Chloe instead.

In the Alliance, werewolf bloodlines fell into four ranks: Omega Black Werewolves, Beta Gray Werewolves, Alpha Silver Werewolves, and Golden Lycans. Each rank was divided further into low, average, and high categories.

The higher the rank, the rarer and stronger the werewolf, so families married with bloodlines in mind, hoping for powerful offspring. Exceptions existed, of course, where a high rank could produce a low rank, and a low rank could produce a high rank. Only after reaching adulthood could a werewolf shift perfectly between human and wolf forms.

Pressured by shame, Damian spiraled out of control. To salvage his reputation, he spread lies that I had slept with a rogue Omega, claiming that was why my pup was born with a “lowly” bloodline.

Then, he crushed our newborn with a single claw before the pup’s eyes even opened, summoning the enchanted silver chains that eventually executed me. I died without ever exposing his true identity.

Damian Blackwood wasn’t a high-ranking Golden Lycan at all. He was just a low-rank Omega Black Werewolf pretending to be one.

Back in the Stone estate, Kaelen began his story while holding the little one asleep in his arms.“An evil sorcerer trapped me in Moonshine Heart for over a hundred years. I was the keystone of his spell, draining the life from the mountain constantly. All these years, I kept waking and falling back into slumber. I’ve lost count of how much time passed outside.”“So that was why Silent Peak lost its vitality?” I asked.“Yes. Your arrival fully awakened me, breaking the keystone’s hold.”I felt a twinge of guilt. Back then, my reasons for seeking Kaelen had been less than pure. I’d even used a few underhanded tricks to get his attention.“I thought you wouldn’t even remember me,” I admitted.Kaelen looked down at me, a teasing smirk on his face. He tapped my nose gently with one finger.“Those little flower pollen hardly affected me. After a hundred years without seeing my kind, your arrival was like a delicious treat delivered right to my door, and I was still in the prime of my

The black pup that had been thrown aside lay barely breathing. Chloe, tears streaming down her face, crawled over and scooped him up.“Your… pup?” Kaeren stepped in front of me, his voice low but sharp.“Yes, my pup! Only a Golden Lycan could give birth to this pup, while you are nothing but a lowly Omega Black Werewolf!”“Lowly Omega? And you’ve been pretending to be a Golden Lycan for so long you actually believe it?” I asked. With Kaeren standing before me, a surge of confidence somehow overcame me. My voice was quiet but clear enough that everyone in the hall heard every word. The onlookers turned to Damian, confusion and shock written across their faces.“Stop spreading lies, Elara!”“Doesn’t Chloe spend every night painting your black fur gold?” Chloe painstakingly painting Damian's fur gold with alchemical pigments every night was a task I did in my last life.“I told you it wouldn’t work! Damian, you tricked me!” Chloe screamed and burst into heartwrenching sobs. St

“The Blackwood pup is about to awaken! A stage has been set up at the Sacred Ridge so everyone can witness the birth of a Divine Werewolf—a once-in-a-century event! If you don’t head over now, you’ll miss it!”The Beta tore free from my hand and disappeared into the crowd.“This isn’t right!” Kaeren scooped me up with ease and flew toward the Sacred Ridge. An Omega Black Werewolf shouldn’t be able to fly that high, but Kaeren could.By the time we reached the ridge, the place was already packed. Kaeren simply soared above the rooftops for a better view.“Welcome, everyone, to witness my pup’s awakening,” Damian’s voice rang out across the crowd. “And to make things more interesting, I’ve prepared a special surprise.”He clapped his hands, and servants lifted a cage onto the stage. My heart sank.“I once predicted that Elara’s pup would be a defective spawn. Today, I’ll prove my prophecy right.”Damian lifted the cage lid. Inside was my black werewolf pup, already showing signs

A glowing golden pup was something the world had never seen. Thus, Damian threw a lavish party, and guests arrived in droves, all eager to catch a glimpse. Of course, I was also invited. I, too, wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The party hall was extravagant and overflowing with gifts. There was barely space to set them down. Council elders from the Alliance were all present, circling the golden pup and showering it with their praises.“This pup is destined to awaken as a high-rank Lycan unrivaled in the world,” one council elder said.“I’ve heard tales of bloodlines beyond the Golden Lycan, the legendary Primordial Lycan. Their power is said to come directly from the first ancestor, but they exist only in the oldest scrolls. No one has ever truly seen one.”“Could this pup… awaken as a Primordial Lycan?”“The future is boundless.”As the council spoke, Stepmother, Father, Chloe, and Damian beamed with delight. Envy and admiration rippled through the other guests. When

Not long after, I announced my pregnancy, only to hear that Chloe’s family had news too.The city buzzed with gossip and speculation. Some even started to take bets. Everyone remembered Damian’s earlier words, and now it had become the hottest topic in town.Father seemed to care for Chloe more than me. She was often invited over and treated to the finest remedies and delicacies. After all, family honor was at stake, and even Father assumed that my pup wouldn’t be of a high bloodline.Kaelen, on the other hand, treated me and the pup with meticulous care. He never let his guard down, genuinely acting as if he were the pup’s father, which touched me deeply.“Didn’t I tell you to marry him? He treats you well.” When I moved in, I had brought Lilith along with me.“Yes, yes,” I muttered, not really paying attention as I worked on tiny clothes for my unborn pup.“Why bother? They don’t fully shift into human form until eighteen,” Lilith said“But werewolves can wear clothes in wol

Even the council elders had never seen anything like this; their stunned expressions matched mine and Father’s. Stepmother’s jaw was also hanging wide.More werewolves gathered around us, and the murmurs spread like wildfire.“Who is this guy? I’ve never heard of an Omega like him in the Alliance.”“I heard he migrated from the Southern Wastelands.”“The Wastelands? That barren dump?”“Who cares? Miss Elara sure lucked out. Even some Golden Lycans can’t afford a display like this.”“Exactly. With a reputation as ruined as hers, who knows what kind of spell she cast on Kaelen?”“Miss Elara really has skills, huh?”Kaelen lifted his eyes toward the gossipers. With a single flick of his hand, the troublemakers flew several dozen meters away.“They talk too much. This is just a small engagement gift,” he said, his voice low and confident. “On our wedding day, I’ll make sure the entire Alliance sees her true worth.”The predatory darkness in his gaze vanished instantly. When he tu
