I stood at the front of the chapel and inhaled a deep breath. With the help of Isabella, we found our way down here some minutes ago. When my mother boasted that this wedding will be the talk of the town for months I never knew she meant this.  Everywhere was decorated and covered in flowers. I had pictured and dreamt of this day ever since I was little and now that's happening I'm dreading it.

My father was already waiting by the door, ready to walk me down the altar where my soon to be husband is waiting.

"You look absolutely gorgeous in this dress Cassandra, you reminded me of the day your mom and I got married. She also has the same look" He gave me a soft smile. This one is genuine.

"Thank you, Father"

He leaned forward and pressed a kiss on my head, not lifting the veil.

"I'm going to miss you Cass. We didn't really get along but let's try to do a better job now that you're getting married. If you are getting uncomfortable there, you can always call me. I'm still your father" The expression on his face was unmistakable. A mixture of sadness and regret.

I wrapped my arms around his waist and drew him closer. "Me too, father," I said. I'll miss my parents terribly. They are not the best but I still love them both dearly.

Father held out his arm and I entwined mine with his. Isabella handed me my bouquet of white lilies then we walked through the double doors and into the chapel.

I fidget and almost skip a step at the flashes of camera that came over us all at once. Father must have sensed this as he bent down slightly to whisper in my ear. Somewhere in the back of my head I can hear the organist play

Here comes the bride.

"It only gets awkward at first. Try to smile and you'll be fine" he said.

I did as he says and it finally got better. There are faces of people who I didn't know. Of course my grandfather must know them all. I'm sure these people are here to witness the union and gossip. It must have looked like a fairytale.

But it was far from it.

This is not a beautiful union, It's a facade.

A mere disguise.

"She's yours now" my father said when we reached the altar where Sebastian was standing. I watched as my father turned and moved to sit beside my mother. Mother had tears in her eyes, she sniffled and brought a handkerchief to wipe her tears. I almost laughed at her drama. If any of these cameramen didn't capture a good shot with her crocodile tears, they'll be in trouble later.

All she could do was put on a show for the media and that was it. At least someone's doing their job right.

The moment I stood beside him, his jaw tightened. His grip on my hand was so tight that I feared it would leave a bruise afterwards.

“Dear beloved brethren, we are gathered here today to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony,” the priest began and I barely paid attention to what he was saying. All that my mind could think of is the man standing beside me.

Blood rushed through my veins and I swayed, as the numbness slowly took over. I could hear the pounding of my heart echoing in my ears.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

It was so loud, I wondered if Sebastain could hear it. My legs trembled, feeling weaker than ever. I worried they’d give up under me and I’d end up taking my vows on my knees.

There was silence in the chapel as the priest started the vows. He started with Sebastain.

"Sebastain William Spencer, do you vow to take Cassandra Alicia Hastings as your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love, honor, obey and Cherise, in love, health and in sickness, through sorrow and pains for all the days of your life?"

Sebastain turned to face me. His expression hardened and I watched as he clenched his jaws

"I do," he said, not looking away from me. I dare not look up to meet his gaze.

Now, it is my turn. The priest turned to me and repeated the vows.

"Cassandra Alicia Hastings, do you vow to take Sebastain Williams Spencer your husband, to live together in holy matrimony, to love, honor, obey and Cherise, in love, health and in sickness, through sorrow and pains for all the days of your life?"

When it was my turn to say the vows, silence consumed me. I closed my eyes and swallowed.

I can't do this

The driver parked the Ferrari and Taylor came out of the car. He went into the luxurious hospital building, which was owned by his Aunty. Why did he have to see her? He was going to teach her a lesson. He was going to put her in her place. He was going to tell her that she had made a big mistake by coming in contact with him.He was directed into Alicia's ward by one of the nurses. Taylor's heart pounded with a mix of anger and frustration as he stared at the girl his car had hit. Alicia lay on the hospital bed, her face turned away from him, her body battered and bruised. The room was filled with an uncomfortable silence, broken only by the rhythmic beeping of the machines monitoring her vital signs.Summoning all the sarcasm he could muster, Taylor called out her name. "Alicia," he said with a bitter edge to his voice, "I hope you're enjoying all this attention."Alicia managed to turn her head towards him, wincing in pain. Her eyes held a mixture of confusion and pain. "Who... who

Taylor's private office was a statement in architectural drama. High ceilings, marble floors, a window that was a wall of glass, in front of which a large slab of gray marble rested on legs of forged steel. As he moved across to it, the pale sunlight of a winter morning shot shards of cold steel through his black hair and added a sharpened cast to his lean dark profile that spoke of his ruthless and cold-hearted personality. Stepping around the edges of the slab of marble, he slammed the newspaper down on its smooth gray top. It unfurled on impact, showing him the inner-page headline that his personal assistant helpfully presented to him. It was Marcus' job to scour the world's newspapers, his job to mark those items he believed would be of interest to the acting head of the Schultz International Company. But Marcus would not be making the same mistake again very quickly, Taylor mused as he glared at the train for all of his anger. His car had run into a lady, causing her a fatal

I stood in the doorway, her heart sinking as she took in the all-too-familiar scene before her. Her mother, Sandra, sat slouched on the couch, a glass of Brandy in her hand, her speech slurred, and her eyes bloodshot. It was a sight that I had witnessed far too many times.Anger welled up within me, mixed with sadness and frustration. She couldn't bear to see her mother like this again, destroying herself with alcohol. Tears streamed down I's face as she rushed towards Sandra, wrapping her arms around her in a desperate attempt to provide comfort."Why, Mom? Why are you doing this to yourself?" I sobbed, my voice filled with anguish. "You can't keep going on like this. It's tearing me apart to see you like this."Sandra's gaze met I's, and for a moment, there was a flicker of remorse in her eyes. She let out a heavy sigh before finally speaking, her voice laced with defeat. "I... I just got fired. I lost my job today. Everything is falling apart, and I don't know what to do."My grip

Soon I was ready to leave for the cinema. I walked over to the garage, trying to choose between the many flashy cars that caught my attention.I finally picked the red one, because it looked much smaller and easy to dive around without getting into clashes with other cars. This time around I drove on my own without having Romeo follow me around. To end this foolish feeling I was starting to develop for him, I needed to stop seeing him around.Later in the night…I was sitting in front of the ornate, antique mirror, its gilded frame reflected the soft glow of the lights. The room was dimly lit, creating an atmosphere of quietness as I carefully removed the layers of makeup that had adorned my face throughout the day.As I delicately wiped away the last traces of foundation, my mind began to wander, pondering the events that had led up to this moment. How did Sebastian manage to enter my sanctuary? I distinctly remembered locking the door before I began my nightly routine. And when did

---In the dimly lit room, I found myself standing, my heart pounding heavily against my ribcage. My eyes moved nervously towards him, desperately seeking answers to the questions that disturbed my mind. His presence alone was enough to send shivers down my spine. The air around us was thick with an unspoken tension, as if the room itself held its breath.Silence enveloped us, stretching the seconds into an eternity. It was in this pregnant pause that I waited for him to break the silence, to explain himself. His eyes, once warm and familiar, now held a glimmer of something foreign, something I couldn't quite fathom. They moved with guilt, regret, and a hint of desperation. **My heart skipped a beat, filled with a mixture of fear and excitement, as the bodyguard swiftly closed the distance between us. It was a moment that sent a surge blood rushing through my veins, making me acutely aware of his imposing presence. His movements were purposeful and calculated, yet there was a tender
