Chapter 30

The driver parked the Ferrari and Taylor came out of the car. He went into the luxurious hospital building, which was owned by his Aunty. Why did he have to see her? He was going to teach her a lesson. He was going to put her in her place. He was going to tell her that she had made a big mistake by coming in contact with him.

He was directed into Alicia's ward by one of the nurses.

Taylor's heart pounded with a mix of anger and frustration as he stared at the girl his car had hit. Alicia lay on the hospital bed, her face turned away from him, her body battered and bruised. The room was filled with an uncomfortable silence, broken only by the rhythmic beeping of the machines monitoring her vital signs.

Summoning all the sarcasm he could muster, Taylor called out her name. "Alicia," he said with a bitter edge to his voice, "I hope you're enjoying all this attention."
