Beth
I secretly have a crush on Shawn Andersen, the school's only intersex student. Trey and his friends beat her on a daily basis because she's different. I know I say mean things to her, but I'm head cheerleader and most popular girl in school.
I've watched her get beaten up enough. Today I'm going to walk up to her in front of the entire school and take her in a kiss. It's the third week of our senior year of high school and I want to spend it with her if she feels the same about me.
I pull into school with Mandy and already Trey is making his way to Shawn as she stands under the big tree in front of the school. I quickly get out and run over to her as Trey reaches her. I stand in between them, scowling at Trey and his friends. "Move Beth, this doesn't concern you," Trey says angrily.
"Actually, it does. I should have done this freshman year," I say full of confidence and turn around, pulling her in a passionate kiss.
Gasps can be heard all around us as photos of us kissing are taken. It takes her a second, but she returns the kiss, wrapping her arms around my waist. I slip my fingers in her short hair, deepening the kiss and she breaks from the kiss. We were both out of breath, looking at each other as if we were the only two standing there.
She looks behind me and her eyes darken. She pulls me behind her in time to catch Trey's hand from connecting with her face. My eyes widen as for the first time Shawn fights back. One punch from Shawn left Trey laying unconscious. His friends brought him to the nurse as the principal walks up and starts yelling at Shawn for fighting.
"Mr. Albright, Shawn was protecting Beth from Trey. He was unzipping his pants when Shawn hit him," Tina, my co captain, says stepping up beside Shawn. "That's an attempt at sexual assault."
He looks from Tina to Shawn and asks in a serious tone, "Is that true Andersen?"
"Yes sir," she says quietly, in barely a whisper. "It won't happen again."
"You won't stand up for yourself, but you'll stand up for others," he asks her, trying to understand her.
"I don't like violence, but I won't let someone I care about get hurt by someone else if i can stop it," she says quietly as she glances me. "I wasn't about to let a girl be sexually assaulted, even if she's bullied me since freshman year."
Mr. Albright nods at this and walks away. I try to talk to Shawn, but she walks away from me. "That was hot," Tina says with a smile, watching Shawn walk away. "Go after her."
I catch up with her, stopping her with a hand on her chest. I meet her eyes before looking at her lips. I lick my lips and meet her eyes again with tears in mine. "I've had feelings for you, for years, but I was scared to admit it. I was scared of coming out, but I couldn't standby and watch Trey beat you anymore. That kiss wasn't just for show," I choke quietly. "I said those things because I was afraid of my true feelings. I'm in love with you Shawn."
"If you're telling the truth, then prove it," she chokes quietly as tears roll down her cheeks. "Despite all the negative things you said, I developed feelings for you too. So if you're playing with me, please don't."
I push her against the lockers and take her in another passionate kiss. I reach on tiptoe and whisper seductively in her ear, "I've been waiting for you to lose my virginity."
I look up and meet her aroused eyes. I could feel her press against her jeans and my breaths hitch. "Let's get out of here," I say in a breathy whisper and she nods vigorously.
She pulls me to her car and opens the passenger door for me. I get in and she goes around to the driver's side. She drives out of the school and asks, "Where are we going?"
"The lake, my family owns a cabin there and its vacant," I say with a smile.
The ride to the lake was quiet, a comfortable silence. I'd catch Shawn squirm in the seat next to me and after the third time I realized it was because she had a hard on. "Pull over," I say softly and she glances at me confused. "You look uncomfortable driving like that."
"My jeans are a little tight over my erection," she says in discomfort. "I've always been able to soften after awhile, but I can't."
I rub my hand over her bulge and her breaths shutter. "Will this distract you from driving," I ask softly as I undo her belt.
"I don't know, I've never done this before," she says in a breathy whisper as I unzip her jeans. She lets out a relieved breath and takes my hand. I look up at her as tears roll down her cheeks and she asks in a choked whisper, "Wait, please?"
I take her hand and slip it in my cheer skirt. "Touch me, please," I whimper in a pleading tone.
Her middle finger delves between my folds, already coated with my wetness. I moan, throwing my head back against the seat as her finger curls, pressing against my g-spot. I slouch, spreading my legs and her finger sinks deeper.
"Don't stop, please," I moan and she sends in her ring finger.
"Which cabin," she asks as her thumb rubs my clit.
"By the beach," I moan as I feel myself clench around her fingers. I felt the pressure low in my stomach burst and moan, "Shawn."
She takes her fingers from me and I open my eyes to her licking her fingers clean of my cum. "I want more," she growls in a husky whisper and I shudder in my seat.
Shawn
It was after lunch and we were laying in bed, breathing heavy from the sex we had. She was laying on my chest and I stroke her hair. Her even breaths told me she was asleep and I follow suit.
I woke to someone shaking my shoulder and open my eyes to Beth. She gives me a kiss and says quietly, "We slept all day, its dinner time and our families have been blowing up our phones."
"Do you regret what we did," I ask in a choked whisper. "I don't want to walk into school tomorrow and you ignore me."
"I very much enjoyed what we did," she says in a soothing tone, giving me a kiss. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
"I'd love to," I choke with a smile. "I'll give you a ride home."
We get dressed and I let her wear my hoodie as it was chilly tonight and she only had her cheer uniform. She wraps herself in it and breathes in my rosemary and lavender scent. "I'm never taking this off," she whispers as she continues to breathe in my body spray.
"What do you think your parents will say," I ask softly and she looks at me as we head to her house.
"I don't care, I meant what I said to you Shawn. I love you," she chokes quietly and I kiss her fingers.
"I love you too," I say with a smile.
A few minutes later we pull in front of her house. I give her a kiss and say, "Text me how it goes."
She nods and says, "See you tomorrow."
I nod and head home. I was nervous at what my parents were going to say. I pull in the driveway and walk in the front door. My mother immediately pulls me in a hug, sobbing with relief. "I'm sorry," I choke quietly feeling guilty for worrying her.
"Where have you been," my father scolds with his arms crossed.
"With Beth," I choke quietly. They knew exactly who I was talking about. My mother looks at me in time to witness tears roll down my cheeks and instantly she gets that feisty look in her eyes when she finds out I've been bullied. "She confessed her true feelings for me. Mom, she made me feel...where do I begin?"
Tears roll down my cheeks and she takes me in her arms. "Were you safe," she asks in a choked whisper and I knew what she meant.
"Yes," I choke quietly and I cried silently in my mother's arms. "Are you mad?"
"No, we thought something happened to you when you didn't come home and didn't answer your phone," she chokes quietly with relief.
"I'm sorry, I never meant to worry you," I choke quietly and kiss her forehead. "I'm going to call Beth, shower and go to sleep. I'm tired."
Mom kisses my forehead and says with a light smile, "Okay sweetheart. We'll talk more tomorrow."
"Good night," I say to her and turn to my father. For the first in a long time, he takes me in a hug and I breakdown. "I hit him today. He was going to try assaulting her and I couldn't let him."
"I'm proud of you Shawn," he says softly, rubbing my back comfortly and I let out a calming breath. "Go give your girl a call."
"Thanks dad," I choke with a smile and head up to my room. I call Beth and she answers almost immediately. "How'd it go?"
"They want to meet you," she chokes quietly.
"That's no problem to me. I'll follow you home after school tomorrow. My parents thought Trey did something to me. I told them about you and they're happy for us. I have a feeling my mother is going to ask me to ask your parents to dinner this weekend," I say softly.
"My parents already asked for that, she chokes quietly and I could hear in her voice that she wasn't okay. "Did they hurt you?"
"My father was drunk when I got home. He hit me and my mother," she chokes in broken sobs. "Can you come get me?"
"I'm on my way," I say in a protective tone and run back down to the living room. "Beth's dad beat her. I'm going to get her. Can she stay here?"
"She can bunk with me so you won't have to worry about them sleeping in the same room," Annie says before they could say anything.
"Fine," my father says and I run out the door.
Annie comes with me and I head over to Beth's house. I white knuckle the steering wheel as I boil in anger. "Breathe Shawn, I'm sure she's okay," Annie says softly, rubbing my arm as I drove.
"He hit her because of me Annie, that's not okay," I choke in anger.
We pull in the driveway and I knock on the door. An older woman with bruises on her face opens the door. She had tears rolling down her cheeks and before I could ask what was going on, I could hear screams from upstairs.
"Annie, call for help," I say in a protective tone and look to the older woman and say in a soothing tone, "I'm going to stop him."
I run upstairs and tackle him from choking Beth against the wall. Like with Trey, one hit knocked him out. Mandy had come out of her room and was checking on Beth. "Shawn, she's not breathing," she chokes in a scared whisper.
I go over to them and place my finger under her nose. I could barely feel any breath and check for a pulse and it was weak. "Beth, its Shawn. Hang in there. Help is coming," I choke quietly as I pull her against my chest. I kiss the top of her head and choke, "I'm here, I'm here."
I was in the waiting room with Beth's mother and Mandy. My parents were just walking over as the doctor walked out to let us know about Beth. Carolyn, Beth's mother stands up with Mandy and walk up to her. I watch as they hold onto each other and knew something was wrong.
The doctor walks away and I walk up to them. "How is she," I ask in a choked whisper as tears roll down my cheeks.
"She has a collapsed trachea and put her in a medically induced coma. They said if you didn't show up when you did, she'd be dead," Mandy chokes in broken sobs. "They arrested him Shawn, they arrested him for attempted murder."
I take her and her mother in my arms and Carolyn constricts my waist. "Thank you," she chokes quietly.
"Can I see her," I ask in a choked whisper.
Carolyn nods vigorously and I follow the nurse to her room. I sit next to her bed and delicately take her small hand in mine. I gingerly kiss her fingers and choke quietly, "I'm right here Beth. He can't hurt you anymore."
Feeling tired I climb in the small space next to her and rest my head next to hers. I was falling asleep when I heard someone walk in. "Let her stay, she saved our lives," I hear Carolyn choke in a whisper.
Beth I woke up and my throat hurt. I look around and notice Shawn is sleeping on the edge of my bed. I try to feel my neck, but my fingers graze something and I start freaking out. Shawn shoots up from her sleep and caresses my face. "Calm down, you're safe. It's a neck brace to protect your throat. Try not to speak," she says in a soothing tone and I relax against the pillows. She helps me drink water and I say in a croaking voice, "Thank you." The doctor walks in with my mother and she runs to me when she sees I'm awake. "Oh sweetheart, you've been here over a week. Shawn has been collecting your homework and stays the night. Its Saturday," she chokes quietly with relief. I look at Shawn and she blushes, looking away from me. "You never miss a day of school. You missed almost two weeks and I wanted to make sure you stayed on top of your lessons. It helps that we're in all the same classes," she says quietly. "Thank
ShawnNine months later...Beth and I have been going steady with our relationship. I haven't been bullied all year and prom is in two weeks. Melanie and I have become close friends and are planning to telling everyone our plan to join the military after I graduate next month. I also plan to ask Beth to marry me at graduation.I was wearing a pair of dress slacks and a white dress shirt tucked into my pants. I had a bouquet of white roses and a teddy bear. I ring the doorbell and Mandy answers the door. "Beth, it's for you," she says with a smile, letting me in.She walks in with her mother and Aunt and Uncle and she looks at me in shock. "We've been dating for nine months and guys are still trying to ask you out," I say with mock annoyance. "I heard that Rob was going to ask you out to prom tonight and should be ringing your doorbell any minute..."Ding dongMandy opens the door and in walks Rob. He glares at me, but I kept a ne
Shawn I got permission from my commanding officer to wear my uniform for prom. I was on my way in the limo to pick up Beth. I was waiting after ringing the doorbell and Carolyn opens the door. She was speechless, stepping aside to let me in. "She's finishing her makeup," Mandy says as she descends down the stairs in her prom dress. She takes one look at me and tears fill her eyes. "She's going to be emotional when she sees you." "Are you riding with us," I ask softly. "No, I'm going with Annie and some friends. They should be here soon," she says with a smile. Beth gets halfway down the stairs before she looks at me. She comes to a halt with tears in her eyes. I meet her the rest of the way, stopping so we were eye to eye. "I'm not leaving for a few weeks. This is just to show them that I stand tall after everything, that they shouldn't mess with me or you," I say in a soothing tone, wiping her eyes. "Tonight I'm your soldier
BethI was sitting with Abbigail in the doctor's office, both of us waiting on our blood test results. We brought Mandy with us when I started to get anxious about possibly being pregnant. Abbigail made it sound like she wanted the extra support. Shawn was okay with us taking her car, knowing that we both probably needed a minute to ourselves after what we've been through these last few weeks since prom night. Abbigail had calmed down with the drive here, but as we sat and waited for the results, my nerves have been on edge. I almost jumped out of my skin when the doctor entered the office and Mandy came to calm me down. Abbigail and I held hands while she opened both envelopes and smiles. Her lips moved, but no sound came out. I didn't need sound to know both of us were pregnant.I gingerly pull my hand from Abbigail and step out in the hall. I bring my hands to either my stomach or my mouth as silent sobs escape my lips. I never expected to find out before she left to join the mili
BethIt was the night before Shawn and Melanie left for basic training. Unfortunately they weren't able to postpone their tour. They had to act fast for this mission before the window of opportunity closed. They were granted permission to return home in six months to be with us for the remaining of our pregnancies and stay with us six weeks after our babies are born. I was devastated when she broke the news a few days ago and we've been inseparable ever since. We skipped graduation and stayed cuddled in her bed. We just finished making love and I was propped up against the headboard with Shawn between my legs on her stomach. Her arms were wrapped around my waist planting gentle kisses all over my stomach. I play my fingers through her hair as she whispers to Jordan. She's promising to return home safely and to write letters or video chat as often as she can.Tears roll down my cheeks and she looks up at me with a smile. I smile through the tears and she moves up to give me a kiss. It
BethAfter the mind-blowing sex with Melanie, we decide to go check on Shawn and Abbigail. Melanie quietly opens the door and to both our surprise, they were passed out with Shawn still deep inside Abbigail. Melanie and I leave the room, quietly closing the door. I look up at her and notice the tears in her eyes. I take her hand and bring her back to the living room.I make her look me in the eyes and the tears roll down her cheeks. They weren't tears of jealousy, they were genuine. My only thoughts were of how close it was that she and Shawn were supposed to be on a plane that crashed, leaving no survivors. If I hadn't over stressed about the bad feeling, they'd be dead right now and we wouldn't have done what we just did.I look away as tears of my own fall rapidly down my cheeks and Melanie takes me in her arms. Uncontrolled sobs cause my shoulders to shake violently as I hug my arms to my stomach. My baby could have lost their father and it was hitting me hard. Melanie did her bes
ShawnWe arrive at the basic training camp and the girls looked ready to pass out. Our commanding officer greeted us and showed us the house we'd be sharing on base. He apologized to Beth and Abbigail for the close call about my and Melanie's flight we missed. He was happy to hear the baby was doing okay and bid us time to rest. Our training would start tomorrow at 05:00 hours (military time for 5am).Right now it was an hour before they served lunch, but said it would be fine to let the girls rest and we could eat once they slept. Beth thanked him and I guide her up to bed as Melanie does the same for Abbigail. Beth didn't even bother to change into different clothes, just stripped down to her underwear. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out. I climb in next to her and soon followed suit.By the time we all woke up, it was time for dinner. Beth and I took a quick shower before we all head to the dining hall with the rest of the recruits. Beth lead Abbigail to an open table
BethI was waiting alone while Abbigail had the implant surgery. Flashes of that dreadful night cloud my mind and I couldn't shake them. (Flashback)I was getting a drink for me and Abbigail when I heard my mother scream my name in fear. I turn in time to stare wide-eyed at the firework heading right where I was standing. I was frozen in fear to move and feel someone tackle me out of the way. I hit my head on the ground, stunned for a few minutes.A light shining in my eyes made me turn my head away, squinting. "Minor concussion from the tackle, some rest should be fine," a doctor says as I realize I'm in a hospital bed."Where am I? What happened to me," I ask in a frantic tone."Sweetheart, you're in the hospital," my mother chokes with relief. "Abby tacked you out of the way of a stray firework. She saved your life Beth.""Is she okay? Can I see her," I ask in broken sobs."She's in the bed next to you," Aunt Charlotte chokes quietly."Aunt Charlotte, I'm so sorry," I choke betwee
