Twenty Three

I couldn't sleep, no matter how hard I tried. I was too anxious and scared to even close my eyes.

As the first light of dawn started to filter into the room, I finally got up from my bed. I went to the window and looked outside. The rising sun was casting a warm golden glow across the land, highlighting the beauty of the surrounding nature. The trees swayed gently in the breeze and the birds chirped cheerfully, not knowing the brewing danger that was lurking in the shadows.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves. Despite the serenity of the morning, I couldn't shake off the tension in the air.
