Ava and Eve clinked their glasses and squealed in excitement before downing their drinks in one go.

Their loud noises attracted the attention of the people around them at the club. All kinds could be found there, thugs, criminals, whores, and so on.

Eve accepted the glass of beer and nodded while Ava hurried out of the club to take her boyfriend's call. When she got to the exit door, however, she paused.

She realized that Damon would want to find out where she was and if she lied about her whereabouts, he might offer to pick her up. In the end, he would discover she was lying and think that she was cheating on him.

She sighed and stared at her screen until the call ended. She would just ignore it and call him later with a believable excuse.

She turned and walked back to Eve who was still at the bar of the club waiting for her.

"So, what did Damon say?" Eve asked when she got back.

Ava shook her head, "nothing coz I didn't take his call. I'll talk to him later."

She received her glass from Eve and continued to drink. When her glass was almost empty, Eve said, "I need to make a call outside, I'll be back in a jiffy."

Eve dropped her empty glass on the counter and smiled at Ava before walking away. Ava downed the remaining content in her glass and was about to ask for a refill when she began to feel strange.

She began to feel hot inside her body and her heart rate increased. She looked around her, there were different men, some with their partners and others alone.

Taking out his gun, he smiled and kissed it, "aah, I love this beauty. Very trustworthy and has never failed me."

He stared at the man in front of him and his playful expression changed to a serious one, "in my world, there are no second chances, Gaius. Say hi to the devil for me."

As he heard Ace's words, Gaius wanted to get up and run but Ace blew his brains out with the gun in his hand.

He gestured with his finger and two of his men carried the dead body out while another one wiped the blood off the floor with a rag.

Ace crossed his leg and waited while still holding his gun. Another man was dragged in by his men. The man also went on his knees and said, "mercy Scorpion, I had no idea about Gaius' affairs. He kept me in the dark all through."

Ace scoffed, "doesn't that just mean you are incompetent?"

The man begged, "please Scorpion, I'm just a subordinate and can only follow orders."

Ace smiled, "Interesting! In that case, you are promoted. Let's see just how good you are at following orders. Learn from the result of Gaius' actions and never get me angry."

"Yes, Scorpion. I won't fail you," the man replied with his head bowed.

Ace got up, tucked his gun back into his pants, and walked out the door while his men who were about twelve, followed behind him.

Ava who had taken off her sneakers and stockings moved to the center of the club barefooted and was dancing and screaming wildly. Three guys moved closer to her and began to rub her body.
