Chapter 2

Angel's POV:

"YOU WILL FUCKING MARRY HIM ANGEL." My father screamed.

Ace was finally here and he wanted to take me out on a date, so we could get to know each other more.

But I don't want that, I don't want this at all.

"Please Dad, I could work to provide money for us, I don't need all this," I begged him for the 11th time.

He let out a chuckle, but it sounded so evil.

"We both know you can't do that, you girls are just like your mother, no sense," He mumbled.

I looked away from him feeling sad.

He knows that my mother's health and life are something I don't talk about.

"I'll go get dressed," I whispered walking toward my room.

"You only have 8 minutes!" He barked at me.

But I was too sad to pay attention. When I arrived at my room, a sob left my lips.

How could a father be this wicked to his daughter?

It's not my fault, it's not my fault that mother wasn't serious about her studies.

Shaking my head, I quickly cleaned my face, then walked toward my bathroom.

I quickly splash water on my face.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I could see how sad I looked. I wished all this could end.

But that Ace man looks so dangerous and scary, and I'm small there's no way I could do anything.

With those thoughts in my head, I walked back to my room, grabbing my closet door.

I pulled out my black dress and black heels, and then my silver jewelry.

Carefully putting them on, I looked back at myself in the mirror. I felt no energy to design my hair, so I grabbed my phone and bag and headed toward the living room.

"Ah, here you are, Ace sir she's ready," Father announced that smile never leaving his lips.

I wonder how this Ace man is important, father always calls him Sir.

Ace stood up from the chair, an annoyed look on his face. Guess father made someone pissed.

"Shall we?!" It sounded more like an order than a question. He walked towards me and then wrapped his arm around my waist.

A grasp left my lips at the way his hand stayed not leaving my side.

Father gave us another smile when he noticed what Ace did, but Ace said nothing and walked towards our door.

When we arrived outside, Ace opened the car door for me, waiting for me to enter.

'Maybe it's just an act of being nice today.' I thought before entering. When I was in, I looked back at my dad only to see him giving me some kind of "don't fuck this for us Angel" look.

Shaking my head, a sigh left my lips when Ace entered his side of the car.

"Seat belts!" He hissed.

Nodding my head, I quickly clicked my seat belts on.

As we drove out of my house, I kept on thinking, 'what should I do now? He didn't even say I look pr-'

"You look beautiful Angel." He whispered.

I quickly snapped my head toward him, shocked. Did he just read my mind or what?

"Uhm thank you, sir," I whispered looking away.

"Ace, not sir, You not one of my business man." He corrected.

"Ace, sorry," I whispered.

"Don't Apologize, you're going to be my wife soon and you should know I'm not a man who apologizes for nothing." He said glancing at me before looking back at the road.

Nodding my head, a sigh left my lips.

"Great, my life is going to be like a robot now." I mumbled shaking my head.

"Don't you want to ask questions, so we could get to know each other a bit." He continued.

I looked at him before nodding my head.

"Uhm how old are you?" I asked, I still need to know why dad calls him Sir.

"I'm 31." He said.

"I'm 21," I whispered looking down at my lap.

I guess he's just really an important man because Father is way older than him.

"What businesses do you do?" I asked softly.

"I have companies and a bookstore that I own." He said.

"Like selling books or?" I asked tilting my head to the side.

"No, I make my books." He mumbled.

"Like an actual story writer?" I asked my eyes widening out.

Ace chuckled at my facial expression before nodding his head.

"No way, you don't look like one," I whispered.

"That's because I stopped, I have a lot on my hand right now, and no time for writing," Ace said.

Nodding my head, I looked away before asking.

"What else?"

"I also paint, and do some designs here and there, you will see some when we get married," Ace mumbled looking at the road.

I felt my heart dropped slightly from the marriage part.

"When are we getting married?" I asked softly.

"Two days from now." He said.

"WHAT!" I yelled making Ace hiss.

"What the fuck Angel!" Ace exclaimed angrily.

"I'm sorry, just got shocked." I apologized.

"And why is it that your father told us, you were ready for marriage now or anything time?" Ace mumbled.

"Of course he did," I whispered looking away.

"Is there something I'm missing?" He asked tilting his head to the side.

Quickly shaking my head, I didn't want anything to happen because of me.

"No, no all good, are we there yet?" I asked softly.

Ace gave me a look before looking away.

"Yes, also Angel something about me, I don't like lies." He said before stopping the car, then came out of his side.

I looked at him from the car mirror as he made his way to my side.

'At least Dad didn't pick an old man for me to get married to,' I thought before setting out of the car when Ace opened the door for me.

With that, he wrapped his arm around my waist again.

Another grasp left my lips at his touch. I guess my future husband loves touching.

"Now look straight, look brave, as a future Kingston, you should be brave and strong in the sight of others." He said.

Quickly nodding my head, a breath left my lips as we made our way towards the fancy restaurant.

'I guess my life as a robot starts now.'
