CHAPTER 16

The morning came earlier than she expected. She woke up in a very uncomfortable position on the floor, with a massive headache. Her back ached from sleeping on the hard floor.

She stood up groggily and headed for the bathroom. She peeled the dress off her body and stared at herself in the mirror, she looked like a mess. Her lipstick was smudged and her cheeks were stained with mascara and dried tears. With a sigh, she stepped under the shower and turned it on.

Once she was fully dressed, she sent a quick text to Tegan, telling him to come over, and then she headed to the kitchen.

She was brewing coffee when the front door opened.

"Brook you home!?"

She recognized the voice instantly, it was Mira's.

"In the kitchen!" She yelled back.

Shortly after, the door to the kitchen opened and Mira walked in.

"Wait... You weren't home?" Brooklyn asked.

"No" she answered. "I was at Jack's.. Why?"
