"You are home late," Mira said, startling Brooklyn.

"Oh shit," she yelled. "You scared the shit out of me Mira, why are you up ?"

"Couldn't sleep," she shrugged, " where did you go to though? It's pretty late."

"I was on my way to the kitchen to get some milk, and then I noticed that my car key was gone from the counter. So where did you go? It's pretty late."
