CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Sunday was silent. The maids had Sundays off. Lilian and Damian were both in their rooms. Lilian had rummaged through his library again and was reading another book that caught her interest. Damian on the other hand was having a calming cigar and a whiskey. He had nothing really to do. He dropped the cigar and popped open his laptop. No email, no texts, nothing. Well, there were texts, just not reasonable ones. The e-mails he had were from his past play toys. There was one from Lisa, Xena, Yasmin, Chloé e.t.c.

He rolled his eyes. What the hell did they want? He made it clear to them that he was done with them. They had served their purpose. They should have known by now that he didn't do feelings and love. He wasn't that type of man. He deleted their e-mails and for good measure, he blocked them. They were clogging up his inbox.

He looked at his watch. It was past 9. He was always an early riser, even on Sundays. He called for the chef to prepare his breakfast and have it ready on the
