CHAPTER TEN

Adrian pulled away from her, a small grin on his face, and a quick kiss on her temple. "Thank you for dinner, little one," Adrian said before pulling away and walking out of the kitchen, leaving Serena alone with her raging thoughts.

Serena sat down, trying to process what had just happened; Adrian had kissed her willingly, and she liked it and wanted him to do it again; she felt the heat in her cheeks as she went to the sink to wash and put away the dishes.

Adrian went back upstairs to his room to calm down his lycan; if he stayed with their little hybrid any longer, Shadow would have done something reckless like ravish her on that damn dining table. He smiled as he remembered his lips against hers, the slight blush on her face as they drew away, and the way she stared at him in awe and confusion.
