I had thought mother would put up more of a fight, but that didn't seem to be the case, instead, it was father who was fighting tooth and nail to exonerate himself.

But I was sure he knew that he was fighting a losing battle especially after the hitman confessed that it was Eagan who paid him to kill Dian.

The date for the trial had already been fixed and was going to take place soon. In the meantime, they were being held in detention. They were going to have a hearing in a few hours to determine if they would be granted bail or not, and I hoped to God that they weren't, because I knew if they were released, they'd have more time to scheme their way out of the whole situation and I couldn't have that.

But judging from the uproar the clip had caused and the sudden surge of other victims coming forward to accuse them of heinous crimes, I was sure they preferred to stay in detention than out there, facing the angry population.
