LOGINThe Proposal
The clearing erupted into chaos. The rogues attacked without warning. Miguel shifted in a blur of black fur and razor-sharp claws. His enormous wolf landed between Lynnek and the rogue leader, releasing a thunderous roar that shook the trees. The rogues hesitated. Then they charged. Miguel tore through the first wolf with terrifying precision. His warriors joined the fight, clashing with the rogues as snarls and screams filled the forest. Lynnek refused to stand back. She shifted into her silver she-wolf and lunged at a rogue trying to attack one of the Blackstone warriors. Her teeth sank into its shoulder. The rogue yelped, throwing her aside before another Blackstone warrior finished it off. More wolves poured into the clearing. "There are too many!" one warrior shouted. Miguel's wolf let out a commanding howl. Immediately, his warriors changed formation, surrounding Lynnek in a protective circle. She growled in frustration. "I don't need protecting!" Miguel glanced at her briefly before throwing another rogue against a tree. Apparently, he disagreed. The scar-faced rogue leader watched the battle with amusement. "You still don't understand, do you?" he called. Miguel ignored him. The rogue laughed. "The girl isn't valuable because she's the former Luna." That caught Miguel's attention. The rogue smiled wider. "She's the last descendant of the Moonfang Bloodline." Lynnek froze. Moonfang? She had never heard that name before. "What are you talking about?" she demanded. The rogue only laughed. "Ask your dead mother." Rage exploded inside Lynnek. She rushed toward him. "Lynnek, wait!" Miguel shouted. Too late. The rogue had expected her attack. He caught her wrist and pressed a silver dagger against her throat. The entire clearing fell silent. Miguel's icy blue eyes darkened. "Let her go." The rogue chuckled. "Or what?" The air suddenly became heavy. Every wolf—friend and enemy alike—felt it. Miguel's Alpha aura burst across the clearing like a violent storm. The pressure was overwhelming. Several rogues collapsed to their knees. Even Lynnek struggled to breathe. The rogue's smile disappeared. Miguel took one slow step forward. "You have three seconds." His voice was calm. That made it even more frightening. "One." The rogue tightened his grip. "Two." His hand began to tremble. Before Miguel could say "Three," the rogue shoved Lynnek away and ran. The remaining rogues scattered in panic, disappearing into the darkness. Silence settled over the forest. Miguel rushed to Lynnek. "Are you hurt?" She shook her head. "I'm fine." He gently lifted her chin, inspecting the thin cut on her neck. His touch was surprisingly careful. Their eyes met. For a heartbeat, neither of them spoke. Lynnek's wolf stirred inside her. She could feel his wolf responding. The pull between them was undeniable. Miguel stepped back first, clearing his throat. "You can't stay on your own anymore." "I've survived this long." "No." His voice was firm. "You survived because I found you." Lynnek hated that he was right. One of Miguel's warriors approached. "Alpha, the council from Lucaster has arrived." "What?" Lynnek turned to see three Lucaster elders entering the clearing under a white flag. Elder Rowan stepped forward. "We come seeking peace." Miguel folded his arms. "Speak." "The Lucaster Pack has reached a decision." Rowan looked directly at Lynnek before turning back to Miguel. "To prevent a war between our packs... and to protect the Moonfang bloodline..." He took a deep breath. "We ask that Alpha Miguel take Lynnek as his wife." The world seemed to stop. Lynnek stared at the elders in disbelief. "You banished me yesterday," she said coldly. "Now you want to marry me off?" "It's for the good of the pack," Rowan replied. She laughed bitterly. "No... it's for your own survival." Miguel's expression remained unreadable. "I haven't accepted." The elder bowed respectfully. "The decision is yours, Alpha." Miguel looked at Lynnek. She met his gaze without flinching. Neither of them wanted this marriage. Yet both understood that refusing it could plunge the werewolf world into war. As the silence stretched between them, Miguel finally spoke. "If we do this..." His eyes never left hers. "...we do it on our terms."The Final SealThe altar exploded with light.Lynnek threw an arm across her face as a powerful wave of energy swept through the chamber.Miguel grabbed her hand."Lynnek!""I'm here!"Aster struggled to remain standing. The crimson sphere above the altar had transformed. It was no longer red.It was silver. The entire chamber trembled as ancient symbols appeared across the walls.Noctis stood motionless beneath the sphere. For the first time, he looked almost satisfied.Lynnek stared at him."What have you done?"Noctis smiled."Nothing.""I merely showed you the truth."Aster looked around the chamber."The altar isn't giving him power."He suddenly understood."It's testing the Queen."Miguel frowned."Testing her for what?"Aster pointed toward the glowing sphere."For the final seal."---The chamber changed. The stone floor disappeared beneath them.Lynnek suddenly found herself standing in a vast field beneath a clear night sky. There was no Miguel. No Aster. No temple.Only si
The Queen's ChoiceThe mountain shook beneath their feet.Silver cracks continued spreading through the blood circle, breaking the crimson symbols one after another.Noctis stared at Lynnek. For the first time since his return, there was no amusement in his expression."You cannot break that spell."Lynnek raised her sword."Then why are you worried?"The silver light around her grew brighter.Miguel watched her carefully."Lynnek, don't push yourself.""I'm not."She looked at him."I'm using what the Moon gave me."Aster suddenly shouted from behind them."Everyone, move toward the eastern ridge!"Cassian immediately understood."The barrier is weakening!""Not just weakening," Aster replied. "She's reversing it."The warriors began moving.Silver light spread across the ground, forcing the crimson magic backward.Noctis lifted both hands.Dark energy crashed against the silver barrier. The impact sent a shockwave through the valley.Several warriors stumbled.Miguel grabbed Lynnek'
The Enemy's Trap The journey to the Blood Moon Temple took two days. By the third morning, the mountains stood before the army like enormous walls of stone. The air had grown colder. Even the wolves seemed unusually quiet. Lynnek rode beside Miguel at the front of the army, her eyes fixed on the narrow passage between the mountains. "Something feels wrong," she said. Miguel nodded. "I feel it too." Aster, riding behind them, suddenly raised his hand. "Stop." The entire army halted. Nyros lifted his head and sniffed the air. "There is no scent." Kael frowned. "No scent of what?" "Anything." Nyros looked toward the mountains. "No birds." "No animals." "No wind." "The mountain is silent." Lynnek's fingers tightened around the reins. "Then we're being watched." Aster's expression hardened. "Yes." --- Without warning, an arrow flew from the cliffs. Miguel deflected it with his sword. "Shield formation!" The warriors immediately rai
The Queen ReturnsThe council chamber had never been this quiet.Lynnek stood at the head of the long table, staring at the map spread before her.Red markings covered the eastern border.Black markings represented Noctis's forces.Too many villages had already been attacked.Too many warriors had fallen. But today, Lynnek wasn't hiding from the map.She was studying it.Miguel stood beside her, watching silently. He had noticed the change in her.The grief was still there. It hadn't disappeared. But she had stopped allowing it to keep her away from the people who needed her."We've been defending every territory they attack," Lynnek finally said.Kael nodded."That's what we've always done.""Then that's our mistake."Everyone looked at her.Lynnek pointed to the map."Noctis chooses where we fight."
The Loss That Changed EverythingMorning arrived quietly at the palace. For the first time in days, Lynnek woke with a strange sense of peace. The Blood Moon was still visible faintly beyond the clouds, but the palace had returned to its usual rhythm. Servants moved through the corridors. Guards changed shifts. Messengers delivered reports from the borders. There was still a war waiting outside. But Lynnek refused to allow it to consume every part of her life. She dressed and entered the council chamber."Good morning, Your Majesty."She smiled at the guards."Good morning."Miguel was already there, studying several reports spread across the table. He looked up when she entered."You should have rested longer."Lynnek raised an eyebrow."You say that every morning.""And I'll continue saying it until you listen."She laughed softly."I have an entire kingdom to run.""And an Alpha who thinks you're incapable of sitting still for five minutes."She shook her head."You worry too much.
The Gathering StormThe bells continued ringing. One after another, their deep voices traveled across the mountains, through forests and over distant valleys.Lynnek stood at the edge of the ruined fortress, watching the crimson glow spreading across the northern sky.The Blood Moon had disappeared. But something far more frightening had taken its place.A red crescent burned above the horizon.Miguel stood beside her."What does it mean?"Aster answered from behind them."It means Noctis has announced his return."Kael frowned."To whom?""Everyone."Aster looked toward the distant kingdoms."Every Alpha on this continent will have seen that light."Cassian walked toward them, his expression grim."And every one of them will be afraid."Lynnek turned."Then we can't let fear decide what happens next."Cassian studied her."You sound like your father."She smiled faintly."I'll take that as a compliment.""It is."---By sunrise, messengers had arrived from every direction. The Northe
