CHAPTER 5

ALPHA SCOTT 

Alpha Hercules has been glaring at me strangely ever since the night party started. Has he clued everything up that his Luna was my mate? 

I tried to brush the thought up as I sipped my bear with my men. The gathering was decorated nicely with a lot of food, snacks, drinks, and sweets to go around a thousand times. 

I felt the right thing was to reject Eden and maybe there is a second mate for me somewhere. 

"This is so lit and I don't mind having this kind of party in our pack!" One of my guards said to another while I gulped my beer and thought about what to say to Eden tonight.

I didn't want to drink but my wolf won't stop talking non-stop after he realized what I planned on doing tonight. 

I knew that he was angry but he was bound to understand later on. 

"We both know that you don't want to do this, why then would you hurt us?" My Wolf purred in my head angrily. 

"I know you can't stop thinking of her succulent lips, and those ocean-blue eyes." He added, making me shut my eyes. 

"Don't you get it that she has someone else?" I mind-linked my wolf.

My wolf placed a hand on his mouth before rolling his eyes at what I had just said. He obviously didn't care that she had someone right now, he just wanted us to have our mate by all means. 

I wanted him to understand that it was wrong and impossible. I had even gone to the extent of explaining to him by putting us in Hercules's position but he wasn't understanding. 

I tried to ignore my wolf and place my attention on the dancing wolves in pairs. A few she wolves kept giving me some seductive looks and ogling in my direction but I avoided them.

"You won't even give any of them a chance because you just only want our mate in your pants!" My wolf said in my head.

I ignored it again by chewing the chocolate cake on my plate. 

"Alpha Scott, I hope that you are enjoying yourself?" The voice of Hercules came, earning my attention. 

"Sure, the night just seemed perfect," I said, raising my cup as a sign of cheers. 

"I'm glad that you are enjoying everything tonight. On the other hand, I can't wait to have Eden to myself tomorrow!" Hercules had said and for some reason, I felt like skinning him alive for saying such in my presence. 

I don't know if this was jealousy but it felt like I didn't want to share Eden with anybody. 

"Congratulations once again!" I said with gritted teeth while I looked away but my attention was instantly diverted when I noticed Eden running in a particular direction. 

"Would you mind excusing me for a bit?" I said to Hercules not minding his reply before I left.

EDEN POV

I slowly smiled at the mirror after applying the cherry lipstick on my lips. They sure fitted my outfit perfectly well, 

The door to my room slightly opened as a small smile crept to my lips. 

"Dad, you just couldn't wait to see me right?" I said with a chuckle. 

"Of course, dear Eden!" That familiar voice came. 

I quickly twirled my head to notice the last person I was expecting to see right now. 

'Lillian Deluca' what was she doing here in my room? I thought Hercules told me he had cut ties with her and that she didn't stay in our pack anymore?

What was she doing here? 

"What are you doing here?" I found the courage to ask. 

"You and I know that Alpha Hercules wouldn't just wake up one morning and think of you as the Luna of this pack right?" Lilian said and I felt that she was just jealous and heart broken that I was the chosen one and not her. 

Mainly, we were both not fated to Hercules but once who was chosen by him. 

I watched her as she slowly placed her hands on her tummy before she spoke. "Even our baby can notice it's rightful place because it just kicked!" Lillian said.

Lillian was pregnant?

I was already panicking, I was already even sweating already and I wanted to cry of bitterness at that moment. 

I tried to hold it in because Lilian might be saying this to make me angry. 

"I understand what you are playing at right now. You chose to come up to my room a night before my coronation claiming that you are pregnant for Hercules to make me back off, right?" I asked.

"Why would I do that? I didn't want to break your heart later on so I thought of coming here to stop you from making a big mistake, hunnie!" Lilian said. 

"You are just jealous and I think you should get over it!" I yelled, getting furious already. 

"Alright, I guess I'm done holding it in. Hercules doesn't love you, Eden, you want to know something?" Lilian asked but I kept mute. 

"Hercules is only using you to bring him to a gleaming light, he never loved you, and guess what?

He never will because he loves me and I'm pregnant for him. He said you are a weak wolf and you can never be his luna. He is only using you to take down his enemies, and when he becomes the strongest Alpha in this region, I'll be right by his side as his Luna and queen, while you'll be tossed aside like a ragged doll." She said as the tears I have tried hard to hold came streaming like a faulty tap. 

I gave her one last stare before pushing my way out of the room in full speed. 

Everything Lilian had just said kept replaying in my head and I knew that it was driving me very crazy. 

Everything was slowly making sense right now and I knew that Lilian wasn't going to lie to me and only hurt more because I had made a fool of myself again thinking that Hercules would return my love. 

I ran out to notice the huge crowds who wouldn't stop smiling, and dancing happily to the loud music. 

How do I tell them that everything was a fake? More tears found their way down my cheeks as I ran towards the direction I felt safe.
