"No!" My instincts kicked in and I acted without thinking, throwing myself in front of Dante's wolf

I knew it was a reckless move; he's lost control right now and I was nothing more than an obstacle in his path. He wouldn't recognize me and could end up hurting me.

"No, Dante. Please don't do this," My hope hung on every word.

My hand felt like it moved on its own and before I could realize it, I rested it on the crown of his head. His eyes flashed as he felt my touch. At first, I thought he finally recognized me.

But I was wrong.

He shoved past me with enough force to send me stumbling. But I quickly regained my footing and stood up

No. We're not gathering here tonight just to make a scene. My brother is a guest here. This is Frederick's pack and he had made it clear that he can do whatever he wants to Dante.

He could give a death sentence to my brother!
